Italy: Angelina Mango recorded the Eurovision version of “La Noia”!
Italy is gearing up for another shot at Eurovision glory, with all eyes on Angelina Mango as she prepares to take the stage in Malmo. Following her recent triumph at the Sanremo Festival 2024, Mango is set to bring her lively Cumbia flair to the Eurovision stage, promising a performance filled with dance and entertainment.
After much anticipation, Mango has finalized the selection of her song, “La Noia” for Malmö, ensuring that the performance adheres to the three-minute time limit set by the contest rules. With Italy aiming to build on the success of Marco Mengoni, who secured a fourth-place finish in last year’s edition in Liverpool, Mango’s participation marks the beginning of another exciting adventure for the country.
The 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled from May 7th to May 11th at the Malmö Arena, will feature representatives from 37 countries. The two semifinals on May 7th and May 9th will be broadcasted on Rai 2, while the final evening on May 11th will air on Rai 1. Commentary for all three nights will be available on Rai Radio 2 and Digital Terrestrial Channel 202, with the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 also streaming on RaiPlay.
Arriving in Malmo fresh from her recent success, Angelina Mango is eager to showcase her talent on the international stage.
“I can’t wait to meet my fellow artists and have the opportunity to engage with performers from so many different countries,” says Mango. “I approach the Eurovision experience with the same spirit as I did Sanremo: I want to have fun, share my music, and I am grateful for the chance to do so on such an important stage.”
Among the plethora of artists who have represented Italy in 49 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest, Mango is the tenth female soloist to do so. She follows in the footsteps of esteemed artists such as Gigliola Cinquetti, Mia Martini, Franca Raimondi, Iva Zanicchi, Nina Zilli, Emma, and Francesca Michielin. Mango’s participation marks Italy’s bid to reclaim the title for the fourth time.
We remind you that the big winner of this year’s Sanremo Festival was Angelina Mango with the song “La Noia,” who will represent Italy at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malmö in May.
