Kosovo will apply to compete in Eurovision 2025!

In order for Kosovo to become a member of the EBU, and thus be able to participate in Eurovision, it must first join the International Telecommunication Union  (ITU) or the Council of Europe. Kosovo has yet to achieve any of these, due to its partial recognition.

However, a few hours ago, through an announcement on its social media, RTK announced that it will make an official application to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, in June:

In the event that Kosovo eventually manages to participate, Festivali i Këngës në RTK will most likely serve as its national final. The festival will celebrate its second edition this year, under the direction of Adrian Krasta.
