Spain: Submission window for Benidorm Fest 2025 opens today!

Already, since the Eurovision week, RTVE the Spanish public broadcaster, confirmed its presence in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, while on the same time they announced the next Benidorm Fest, through which, the country’s representative will be selected!

Earlier today, RTVE opened the submission window for Benidorm Fest 2025, while also presenting the rules, for the next festival.

The submission window will be open until October 10. RTVE will also have the right to invite artists to compete in the festival. The registration form can be found HERE.

Below you can see some of the rules of Benidorm Fest 2025:

  • Artists must be at least 16 years old by May 1, 2025. In case of an underage artist, permission from a parent or guardian is required.
  • Solo artists must be Spanish citizens or permanent residents of Spain.
  • At least 50% of a group must be Spanish citizens or permanent residents of Spain.
  • At least one songwriter for every song must be a Spanish citizen or a permanent resident of Spain.
  • Songs must be in at least one of the co-official languages of Spain (Spanish, Basque, Catalan, Galician or Aranese).
  • Songs may contain up to 40% of lyrics in any other language.
  • Songs must be original and be between 2:30 and 3:00 in length.
  • RTVE reserves the right to disqualify any song that does not comply with all the rules at any moment.

When the submissions are completed, a jury panel from RTVE, will assess and select 16 songs to participate in the festival and six more reserve entries.

The previous winners of Benidorm Fest and Spain’s representatives in Eurovision 2024 were Nebulossa, with their songs “Zorra” and ended up in 22nd place of the Final:
