Azerbaijan: Eurovision 2025 participation confirmed!

A few minutes ago, another country confirmed its participation in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, which is set to take place next year in Switzerland!

In detail, after a meeting that took place on Thursday in ICTIMAI TV, the country’s public broadcaster, Azerbaijan officially confirmed its participation in Eurovision 2025, and also opened the submission window for those interested, until September 15.

In particular, the public broadcaster requests that the proposals be complete in terms of timelyrics and staging and be in accordance with the rules of the EBU. A short bio is aslo requested from the artists.

The public broadcaster meeting also had the country’s participation in Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid, as its subject. However, there was no announcement regarding the children’s contest. We can only assume that Azerbaijan will not compete for another year.

Fans of the Contest in Azerbaijan have already declared their favourite artist, with the local media talking about Alizade’s possible participation, while the locals have sent letters to Ictimai TV asking for her selection:

In Eurovision 2025, Azerbaijan was represented by Fahree and Ilkin Dovlatov, and their song “Özünlə apar” that did not manage to qualify for the Grand Final, for the second year in a row:
