Besa to compete in Una Voce per San Marino 2025!

As the submission window for San Marino’s national selection for Eurovision 2025 remains open, the first stage of evaluating entries has already begun. However, attention is now turning to the upcoming third round of the Academy and Casting phase, which is scheduled to take place from November 14 to 16.

One of the most anticipated auditions in this round is set to feature Besa Kokëdhima, a former Eurovision contestant. The Albanian singer is set to compete for a chance to represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel.

Besa’s Bid for San Marino

Besa’s participation in the Sanmarinese national selection, Una Voce per San Marino (UVPSM), has been confirmed by her management team, putting an end to any speculation. Besa, who previously represented Albania at Eurovision, will now aim for a spot in the upcoming contest with San Marino’s flag.

It is not the first time that an ex-Eurovision contestant has participated in San Marino’s open selection. In 2023, Albanian Eurovision 2022 representative Ronela Hajati joined UVPSM and reached the final, drawing attention to the competition’s growing appeal among established artists.

Besa’s International Eurovision Journey

For Besa, this marks another attempt to represent a country other than her native Albania. Back in 2009, she participated in Romania’s national selection for Eurovision. Now, with her eyes set on the Sanmarinese stage, Besa hopes to make her mark once again on the Eurovision stage, but this time with a different flag.

As the UVPSM 2025 selection progresses, Besa’s participation adds another layer of intrigue to this competition already filled with excitement regardless the small size of the country.

Besa won the public’s vote in Festivali I Këngës 2023 with her song Zemrën n’dorë“. Besa released a revamped version in English titled “Titan” for Eurovision, where she did not make it to the Grand Final, finishing fourteenth in the second semi-final.
