Denmark: The Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025 Songs to Be Announced on February 6!

Denmark’s Public Broadcaster, DR, Will Select Its Eurovision 2025 Entry via the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix

Eight songs will compete in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025 (DMGP), with the song submission window closing on October 27th.

In a recent interview, DMGP’s executive producer, Erik Struve Hansen, revealed:

“Eight songs will participate in DMGP 2025. All songs have been selected, and the participants have been informed. One of the contestants is a former DMGP winner.
The eight teams of artists and songwriters will be unveiled at a press conference on February 6, 2025. Immediately after, you will be able to listen to the songs.
The final will take place at the Jyske Bank Box in Herning on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The voting and format will be quite similar to what we experienced in 2024, with a jury influencing the final result.
A live orchestra will be available, but its use is optional.”

This year, Denmark was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö by Saba with the song “Sand”. Unfortunately, the entry failed to advance to the grand final, finishing 12th in the second semi-final.
