Azerbaijan: Mamagama will sing “Run With U” at Eurovision 2025 | The song to be released tomorrow!
Azerbaijan has announced that Mamagama will be its representative at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest. This is an interesting decision by Ictimai TV, as Mamagama is the first band ever to represent the country in the competition.
The announcement was made a couple of weeks ago by Ictimai Television. Following the completion of the official music video for their Eurovision entry, the country is now gearing up to unveil the song to the public. The countdown for the premiere of the music video is already live on the official Eurovision YouTube channel, with the reveal set for tomorrow, on 14:00 CET.
How were Mamagama selected?
A total of 154 songs were submitted to the public broadcaster, with the top 12 being advancing to the next stage and being evaluated by local and international music experts. The jury included the country’s representatives in 2009 and 2017, Aysel Teymurzada and Diana Hajiyeva, as well as DJ Heyder, among others.
Who are Mamagama?
Mamagama is an Azerbaijani band, known to fans for their participation in the Kënga Magjike in 2022, where they won the “Best International New Artist” category and took fourth place in the final scoreboard. In 2023, the band was among the last five candidates to represent Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest. Their music combines modern sounds with traditional elements, attracting a wide audience.
