The competitive part was opened by Ágúst singing his entry in English. A mainstream pop song, with a quite pleasant atmosphere on the stage. Ágúst moves all around the arena, from backstage, to the stage, to the green room and then back on stage. There are also some smoke effects.

The second entry of the night was Bjarni Arason. The first entry of the night sung in Icelandic. A classic but passionate performance.

Next in line was the only duet of the night Júlí og Dísa. It’s the only bilingual entry (Icelandic and English). A very dynamic performance and very impressive graphics and visual effects.

The fourth act were VÆB, the other entry of the final sung in Icelandic. They are the big favourite of tonight’s show. They are dressed in grey metalic uniforms and have put black sunglasses on. A very powerful performance, combined with the fast exchange of blue and white lights and the use of some pyro effects. A very big applause from the audience.

Second to last act was Tinna performing in English. A pleasant pop performance with the slight country sounds.

And the last act of the final of Söngvakeppnin 2025 was Stebbi JAK who also chose to perform in English. Stebbi serves his wild rock vibes. Red, yellow, and orange colours all over the stage, combined perfectly with fire effects. Vocally he was really good. A very powerful ending for this year’s Söngvakeppnin final.

She also sang her song “Someday”, with which she took part in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix of Denmark in 2009.

Next she also performed her 2010 Eurovision entry for Iceland, “Je ne sais quoi”.
