Lithuania: Eurovizija.LT 2025 viewership
On February 15, Lithuania selected Katarsis as its representative for Eurovision 2025. Their song, “Tavo akys”, emerged victorious after two rounds of voting.With increased audience engagement and a new Eurovision contender, Eurovizija.LT 2025 successfully maintained its place as one of the country’s most-followed television events. The competition spanned six weeks and featured five semi-finals leading up to the grand final, captivating Lithuanian audiences. With the release of official viewing figures by LRT, insights into the show’s overall popularity and trends compared to the previous year have emerged.
Throughout its five-week run, Eurovizija.LT 2025 maintained an average of 210,800 viewers, securing a 27.41% audience share. While this reflected a decline of 32,300 viewers from the previous year, it simultaneously recorded a 2.9 percentage point increase in audience share, making it the most-watched edition since 2021.
The semi-finals experienced varying degrees of viewership fluctuations. Kicking off on January 11, the first semi-final drew in 176,600 viewers, slightly surpassing last year’s numbers by 200 viewers, while also achieving a 19.4% audience share, a 2.8% increase from 2024. The following week, on January 18, the second semi-final saw a decline to 166,100 viewers, making up a 19.3% share, marking a drop in both total audience and share percentage compared to the prior year.
The third semi-final on January 25 performed notably better, with 193,300 viewers tuning in and an audience share of 22.1%, though it still reflected a year-on-year decrease. February 1 saw the fourth semi-final attract 173,900 viewers, with a 21% share, while the final semi-final on February 8 stood out with 210,600 viewers, securing the highest semi-final share at 24.7%.
The most anticipated night, the grand final on February 15, saw 281,100 Lithuanians tune in, achieving a significant 43.6% audience share. Despite experiencing a reduction of 44,200 viewers from the previous year, the event’s audience share surged by 7.8%, suggesting a more engaged viewership. A possible factor in the slight decline in numbers was the later-than-usual start time of 20:30 local time. In total, 11.3% of Lithuania’s population watched the final, reinforcing the contest’s national significance.
