San Marino: Serafín Zubiri withdraws from Eurovision selection due to scheduling conflict

San Marino has a history of featuring Spanish artists in its national selection, most notably with Megara winning Una Voce Per San Marino in 2024 and going on to represent the country in Malmö, where they finished 14th in the second semi-final with “11:11”. However, in 2025, Spanish singer Serafín Zubiri will not be following in their footsteps.

Zubiri, who previously represented Spain in Eurovision in 1992 and 2000, was originally set to compete in the fifth semi-final of Una Voce Per San Marino on February 15. However, a scheduling conflict with a concert in Spain on the same date forced him to reconsider his participation.

The singer requested to be moved to a different semi-final, but San Marino RTV declined the request. Left with no alternative, Zubiri chose to withdraw from the competition. Despite his exit, the song he planned to present will still be released in the near future.
