Croatia: About 200 songs were submitted for Dora 2024!

A day after the end of the submission window for their national final, HRT, the public broadcaster of Croatia, revealed the exact number of songs submitted for Dora 2024.

A total of 200 songs, have been submitted in the first phase of the Croatian national selection which lasted until November 30. HRT stated that this is the greatest number of songs submitted for Dora, since its return as the national selection of the country in 2019.

Next week, HRT’s jury will listen to and select the 24 songs that will compete in Dora 2024 in order to claim the Croatian representation in Eurovision Song Contest, as well as four more songs that will take part in case someone is not able to compete, or withdraw. Dora 2024 will be broadcasted live by HTV, on HRTi and the website of HRT in February of 2024.

The previous winners of Dora and Croatia’s representatives in Eurovision 2023, were LET 3 with their songs “Mama ŠČ!” ending up in 13th place of the Grand Final, as well as managing to bring their country back to the final for the first time since 2017:
