Finland: UMK will be used to select the Eurovision 2025 entry!
Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) is going to take place for the 14th time next year, in order to select Finland’s entry for Eurovision 2025! In this way, the country confirms its presence in the next contest.
UMK is being held every year since 2012 and works as a national selection for the Finnish entry. The artists interested in competing will be able to submit their songs to Yle, the public broadcaster of the country, from August 18 to 25.
A special jury will listen and assess the submissions, and tit will select the ones that will take part in the Final. The complete rules of UMK 2025 will be released in the coming months.
The previous winner of UMK and Finland’s representative in Eurovision 2024, was Windows95man, with his song “No Rules”, that ended up in 19th place of the Grand Final:
