Ukraine: Andriy Danylko refuses to be a judge again for the national final!
Andriy Danilko, who plays the well-known and beloved Verka Serduchka, declares that he will not be a member of the jury again in the country’s national final for Eurovision, asking for changes.
The famous Ukrainian artist was a judge in the national final of Ukraine from 2016 to 2020 and this year. Andriy Danylko says the national final has lost the elements of tension and surprise since the two semi-finals were scrapped and is calling for their return so he can be a judge again.
Despite his disagreements with the selection process, Andriy Danylko strongly supported this year’s representatives Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona.
Ukraine has yet to confirm its participation in Eurovision 2025, although it is expected to participate as normal. It is most likely that they will follow the method of the national final for the selection of their participation for the next year as well.
This year Ukraine was represented in Malmö by Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil and the song “Teresa & Maria” finishing in the third place of the grand final receiving 453 points.
