Angelina Mango among the world’s most searched artists

Angelina Mango broke through in 2023 through her participation in the Italian talent show Amici. Her journey continued with a triumphant performance at the Sanremo Festival, where she competed among many established Italian artists, managing to win and securing her place as Italy’s representative for Eurovision 2024 with the hit song “La Noia.”

This success transcended national borders, as Google’s recently published data revealed that Angelina Mango was the tenth most searched artist globally in 2024.

This achievement is significant, considering the list predominantly features artists with many years of experience, while Angelina, who mainly sings in Italian, is a relative newcomer to the international music scene.

Cosa significa…”Cumbia”?

Within Italy, Angelina Mango topped the Google charts as the most searched person and artist of the year. Her song, “La Noia,” also piqued curiosity among Italian audiences, leading to one of the most popular search queries: “What is Cumbia?”

This question references the song’s lyric “È la cumbia de la noia”, highlighting how the track inspired listeners to explore the Latin dance genre, Cumbia.

Through her exploration of Gen Z themes and introspective lyrics, Angelina Mango resonated deeply with audiences. Her success exemplifies Eurovision’s unique ability to promote new talented artists to global recognition.
