Norway: The rumored names for Melodi Grand Prix 2025!
As we are at the beginning of the hot Eurovision season, most countries have already started their preparations for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Basel next May. As expected, Norway, one of the countries with the most exciting national finals, is no exception.
The rumored names for Melodi Grand Prix 2025
According to escnorge, this year’s MGP line-up will feature several big names from the Norwegian music scene, as well as the return of many Eurostars and former Melodi Grand Prix contestants!
With a long list, the Norwegian contest website revealed the artists rumored to participate in MGP 2025.
Here they are:
- Nora Foss Al-Jabri – MGP 2012, Second place
- Tone Damli – MGP 2009, MGP 2020, and Melodifestivalen 2013
- Angelina Jordan – Winner of Norway’s Got Talent and participant in America’s Got Talent: The Champions
- Kyle Alessandro – MGP 2023
- LLL (Girlllband)
- Wig Wam – Represented Norway in Eurovision 2005
- JOWST – Represented Norway in Eurovision 2017
- Lavrans – Second place in The Voice 2024
- Mathilde SPZ – MGP 2024
- Gaute Ormåsen – Represented Norway in Eurovision 2022
- EMMY – MGP 2015 and MGP 2021
- Tolou
- Alessandra – Represented Norway in Eurovision 2023
- Didrik Solli-Tangen – Represented Norway in Eurovision 2010
Finally, all the artists of MGP 2025 will be highly promoted by the country’s public broadcaster, and the producers of MGP promise us a spectacular show with plenty of fireworks and LED displays.
Important dates:
- January 16, 2025: Artist announcement at 12:00, at Studio 1
- January 24, 2025: Release of the contest songs
- February 15, 2025: Grand final at Oslo Spektrum The Gåte, winners of last year’s MGP, represented Norway in Malmö with the song “Ulveham,” finishing in last place.
