Croatia: The voting system of Dora 2022!
Croatian broadcaster HRT has published the official Dora 2022 voting rules as well as instructions for the televote, to be held on Saturday February 19th at Opatija’s Marino Cvetković Sports.
The Croatian song that will be sent to the Eurovision 2022 Song Contest will be determined by:
a) the vote of the jury
b) the voting of the viewers via phone calls and SMS
In case of a tie in the voting of the jury and the television audience, the winner will be the one who received the most votes from the television audience.
In case of cancellation or withdrawal of one or two performers until February 4, their place is taken by the first, second, third and fourth alternate artist. In the event that five or more performers drop out of the competition, the song number or phone line becomes inactive and therefore not included in the voting procedure.
In case a performer is positive for covid after the costume rehearsal on February 16th or in the general rehearsal on February 18th and in the final rehearsal on February 19th, they will be able to use the corresponding recorded rehearsal.
Jury
The jury will be divided according to the cities Čakovec, Varaždin, Rijeka, Pula, Osijek, Zadar, Knin, Šibenik, Split and Dubrovnik.
Each jury consists of three members:
- an HRT employee (HR music writer or music journalist)
- an HDS member
- an HGU member
Each member of the jury ranks the songs from first to 14th place. The results of the individual members of the jury are entered into the electronic ballot processing system. After summing up the results of the individual members of the jury, they are ranked and the ten songs with the best ranking receive the total points of the judges. The judges’ scores will be: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12, just like in the Eurovision system.
The total number of points of each jury is 58 points. The total number of points for all ten judges is 580 points.
The jury will be announced on Friday, February 18, during the rehearsal.
TV audience
The TV audience can vote either via phone calls or SMS.
Each song receives points based on the percentage of total voting points (580 points) in proportion to the percentage of votes each song received from the total number of votes received (by phone and SMS). Televoting has a total of 580 points.
