Portugal: Second Festival da Canção 2022 Semi-Final tonight!

The Festival da Canção 2022 continues tonight, through which Portugal will choose its representative at Eurovision 2022.

The Portuguese national final will take place on three different nights: two semifinals on March 5th and 7th and the grand final on March 12th.

Finalists

Five artists advanced from the first semifinal of the Festival da Canção 2022 the day before yesterday to the grand final on Saturday. The first five finalists are:

• Os Quatro E Meia – Amanhã
• Aurea – Why
• FF – Bom Esperar Alguém
• Diana Castro – Ginger Ale
• MARO – saudade, saudade

Contestants

Ten artists are participating in tonight’s second semifinal of the Festival da Canção 2022. These artists are:

1. Os Azeitonas – Solta a Voz E Canta
2. Cubita – Uma Mensagem Tua
3. Inês Homem de Melo – Fome de Viagem
4. SYRO –  Ainda Nos Temos
5. Pepperoni Passion – Código 30
6. Milhanas – Corpo de Mulher
7. O Vampiro Submarino – Ao Lado de Mim
8. Jonas – Pontas Soltas
9. Blacci – Mar No Fim
10. Pongo & Tristany – Dégrá.dê

Five artists will qualify for next Saturday’s grand final. The first five finalists will be chosen by50% of the will of the Portuguese public and 50% of the preference of the jury.

Presenters of the second semifinal of the Festival da Canção 2022 are Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Carlos Malato.
