It is now official. GPB confirmed that the eleven-year-old Andria Putkaradze will represent the country in Junior Eurovision 2024.

Andria Putkaradze was declared officially as the Georgian representative one month following Georgia’s participation announcement and two months following the conclusion of Ranina 2024, the national selection process for Junior Eurovision.

Andria Putkaradze is the successor of Anastasia and Ranina, who represented Georgia last year with their song “Over The Sky”.

The 22nd edition of Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on November 16 in Madrid, Spain, following the country’s second-place finish last year and the refusal of the winning country, France, to host for the second year in a row.

Junior Eurovision 2024: The United Kingdom pulls out of the competition, yet another country will make its return!

In less than five months from today, the 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid. But another country will fill the void, and according to our exclusive information it will be ready to announce its grand return in a few days!

Following sixteen years of absence from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, BBC made its return two years ago and continued the same success it had during the early years of the contest with two consecutive top five placements and an online vote win. Another country ready to announce its return

While all of this is going on in London, officials in another European capital are preparing to announce their nation’s return to Junior Eurovision in 2024.

Breaking News: Steering Group’s meeting takes place in Madrid without the presence of Martin Österdahl!

The Steering Group for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 visited Madrid to supervise the competition’s preparations, which will be held in the Spanish capital, as seen in pictures posted on social media by Alexandra Redde-Amiel, the head of France’s delegation in both Eurovision and Junior Eurovision. The notable thing, though, is that Martin Österdahl—who serves as Junior Eurovision’s Executive Supervisor to this day—is conspicuously absent from the pictures.

The aforementioned development supports the rumor that the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is seeking to remove Martin Österdahl from his position due to his poor handling of this year’s Eurovision and crisis that emerged, which brought about an abundance of negative publicity to the competition. This was also evident during the live broadcast of the Final, when he was the target of numerous and strong criticism as well as booing from the audience.

The 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Caja Mágica, Madrid on November 16, following France’s refusal to host the contest for the third time in four years.
