Albania: Watch the performances of the Nostalgia Night of Festivali i Këngës 62!

The third night of the 62nd Festivali i Këngës,the Nostalgia night, where Albania’s representative for Eurovision 2024 in Malmö, will be chosen, took place tonight.

All 31 competing artists performed in pairs or with another guest artist, a song from the history of the Festival or Eurovision. The night was hosted by Adriana Matoshi, Kledi Kadiu, Xhuliano Dule and Krisa Çaushi.

The member of the jury, Adelina Ismaili, standed on the stage of the Palace of Congresses and gave the audience a magical performance, with the song “Zemrën nuk ta fal” from FiK 36.

Also, the presenters greeted once again the members of the professional jury of the Festival.The jury consists of eleven members that will give six different awards for their music lyrics and the winner of the festival.

Unfortunately from the third night only 8 of the ten new artists made it to the final and they were the following:

We remind you that the 22 artists who continue and we will see tomorrow in the grand final are:

However, all 31 artists are still on the run to represent Albania because the decision will be made only by the public vote.

Like last year, Festivali i Këngës 62 will have two separate winners. The winner of the jury vote will be crowned as the winner of the festival and the winner of the public vote will be chosen as the country’s representative in Malmö.

The final of Festivali i Këngës 62, will take place tomorrow, December 22 at 21:00 CET, and we will finally learn the Albanian representative for Eurovision 2024.

Albania: Watch the performances of the Second night of FiK 62!

The second night of the 62nd Festivali i Këngës, where Albania’s representative for Eurovision 2024in Malmö, will be chosen. A total of 31 artists will participate in the competition. The second night was held at Pallati i Kongreseve in Tirana, where we heard the rest 15 songs for the first time with a live orchestra. FiK 62 was hosted by Adriana Matoshi, Kledi Kadiu, Xhuliano Dule and Krisa Çaushi

Like last year, the winner  of Festivali i Këngës will be determined by the professional jury, while the song representing Albania at Eurovision 2024 will be chosen by voting the TV audience through SMS.

Also, the presenters revealed the members of the professional jury of the Festival.The jury consists of 11 members and will give 6 different awards for their music lyrics and the winner of the festival.

Jury member Indrit Mesiti took to the big stage of the Palace of Congresses with his band and gave the audience a magical performance with the song “word of change”.

Tonight’s guests were two well-known names in the world of music, representing two generations of artists, Aleksandër Gjoka and Bojken Lako.

Special guest of the evening was Rachelle Andrioti, who sang a very popular song in a very interesting version “Bien fielli d çiftelia”.

The final of the 62nd Festivali i Këngës will take place on Friday, December 22 at 21:30 where we will know the next representative of Albania.

Albania: RTSH confirmed the country’s participation in Eurovision 2024!

Albania will once again participate in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Malmö, Sweden.

Albania’s national broadcaster, Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH), has confirmed on the Eurovoix website that Albania will participate in the upcoming 68th Eurovision Song Contest. It is likely that RTSH will continue to use the popular Festivali i Këngës as the country’s national final to select its Eurovision 2024 entry.

Following Albania’s announcement, the number of countries that have confirmed their participation in Eurovision 2024 now stands at 28:

Albania will make its 20th appearance in the Eurovision Song Contest since its debut in 2004. Since its participation in 2004, it has qualified for the grand final 11 times- most recently at the 2023 edition.

In the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, held in Liverpool, Albania was represented by Albina & Familjia Kelmendi with the song “Duje“. In the Grand Final of 2023, they placed 22nd with 76 points.
