Junior Eurovision 2023: Listen to Georgia’s entry!

Back in June, Anastasia Vasadze was crowned the winner of Ranina 2023, the Georgian selection process for Junior Eurovision, after the decision of a three-member professional jury.

A month ago, it was announced by GPB, the Georgian national broadcaster, that Anastasia would be accompanied on the Junior Eurovision stage by Nikoloz Kharati and Oto Bazerashvili. Nikoloz and Oto, who were renamed as Ranina, were finalists in last year’s national final, Ranina 2022.

Hence, Georgia will now be represented to Nice by Anastasia and Ranina. Their entry “Over The Sky” was released today via the official Youtube channel of Junior Eurovision.

The 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Nice, France, on the 26th of November, following Lissandro’s win last year in Yerevan.

Georgia: Anastasia Vasadze, Nikoloz Kharati and Oto Bazerashvili to Junior Eurovision 2023!

According to an announcement by Georgia’s broadcaster GPB, the Caucasus country will be represented at Junior Eurovision 2023 by Anastasia Vasadze, Nikoloz Kharati and Oto Bazerashvili.

Anastasia Vasadze had already been selected to represent the country after winning the national final Ranina 2023. Anastasia was chosen as the winner by a three-member jury of musicians, who decided on the basis of 4 criteria: vocal performance, interpretation, artistry and collaboration.

Anastasia will be joined on stage by Nikoloz Kharati and Oto Bazerashvili, who were finalists in last year’s national final, Ranina 2022, according to today’s GPB announcement.

The song that Anastasia, Nikoloz and Oto will perform in Nice will be revealed soon. This is the first time since 2015 that Georgia is sending a group to the children’s competition.

In Junior Eurovison 2022, Georgia was represented by Mariam Bigvava who finished 3rd with the song I Believe.

Georgia: Anastasia Vasadze will represent Georgia in Junior Eurovision 2023!

Tonight, Georgia selected its artist for Junior Eurovision 2023, through Ranina 2023, the Georgian selection process for Junior Eurovision. Anastasia Vasadze will represent Georgia in Junior Eurovision 2023 with her song announced on a later stage.

Anastasia Vasadze competed along with 4 other young artists in order to represent her home country in Junior Eurovision 2023. Specifically, the artists competing in Ranina 2023 were the following:

  • Tako Tomashvili
  • Soso Chachua
  • Anastasia Berishvili
  • Anastasia Vasadze
  • Gabriel Lomsadze

The winner was crowned after the decision of a three member professional jury who selected the Georgian representative based on four criteria: vocals, performance, artistry and collaboration. Meanwhile the exact result has not yet been revealed.

Anastasia is the second representative of Junior Eurovision 2023 and the successor of Mariam Bigvava, who represented Georgia last year with her song “I Believe”.

Junior Eurovision 2023 will take place in the 26th of November in Nice, France with a total of 13 countries having confirmed their participation so far.
