Spain: A total of 4.9 million viewers watched the Final of Benidorm Fest 2025!

On average, 1,938,000 viewers watched the Grand Final of Benidorm Fest 2025 last night.

The Andalusian singer Melody and her song “Esa diva” were crowned the winners in a final with a tight voting outcome.

The Grand Final of Benidorm Fest 2025 recorded an average of 1,938,000 viewers, with a 17.1% audience share. Throughout the two-hour broadcast, at least 4.9 million viewers tuned in for at least one minute. The 2025 figures increased by 39,000 viewers compared to the Benidorm Fest 2024 final, making this year’s final the second most-watched edition in the contest’s history.

Spain will compete directly in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 on May 17. Melody will represent Spain in this year’s competition, which will take place in Basel, Switzerland. You can watch her performance from last night below!

Spain: Melody wins Benidorm Fest and will go to Basel!

Tonight was the night of the Grand Final of the 2025 Benidorm Fest.  The festival serves as Spain’s national final for Eurovision for a fourth year. The Grand Final was broadcast live on RTVE.

A total of eight candidates made it to the Grand Final and competed to get the ticket to represent Spain on the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel

The show was hosted by  Ruth Lorenzo (Spain 2014)Paula Vázquez, and Inés Hernand.

The voting

50% of the result in all three shows (two semifinals and a final) comes from the jury, while the other 50% comes from the audience.

For 2025 Benidorm Fest has eliminated the demoscopic vote. The audience can vote for free for their favourite acts through RTVE Play or by SMS.

The Benidorm Fest jury, which determines 50% of the voting, consists of:

    • Oksana Skybinska (Head of the Ukrainian Eurovision Delegation)
    • Maja Tokić (Executive Producer of Dora, Croatia’s national selection)
    • Twan van de Nieuwenhuijzen (Dutch Head of Contest for Eurovision 2023)
    • Mariangela Borneo (Italian Director of International Projects & Festivals at RAI)
