Serbia: The detailed results of Beovizija 2020

The grand finale of the Beovizija 2020, the 10th edition of this institution to choose the national entry for Eurovision song contest, was completed yesterday.

The Hurricane was given the anchor, with their song “Hasta La Vista” lifting the Serbian flag at this year’s Rotterdam contest.

Today, the nation’s largest public broadcaster, RTS, has released the detailed results of this year’s event.

Serbia: Tonight the Big Final of Beovizija 2020

Beovizija 2020, the 10th version of the country’s selection to participate in the Eurovision song contest, wraps up tonight in Serbia. Tonight we will be watching the Grand Final.

The show will take place at RTS Studio 8 in Belgrade and will start at 21:00 CET time. Dragana Kosjerina, Jovan Radomir, Kristina Radenković and Stefan Popovi will be presenters of the evening.

This year there were 90 entries on public television in the country. A special jury judged the best by reducing the number to 24.

At tonight’s final we will see 12 artists competing for the ticket to Rotterdam:

  3. Neda Ukraden – “Bomba”
  4. Andrija Jo – “Oči meduze”
  5. Igor Simić – “Ples za rastanak”

  8. LIFT– “Samo mi kaži”
  9. Ana Milenković – “Tajna”
  10. Naiva – “Baš baš”
  11. Marko Marković – “Kolači”
  12. Bane Mojićević – “Cvet sa Prokletija”

The winner of the Beovizija 2020 will be determined by the same method of the Eurovision Song Contest. A jury of music experts will determine 50% of the results, while the Serbian public will be able to vote for their favorite song as well.

Serbia: 90 songs for the Beovizija 2020

With little increased interest, the songs which sent to the Beovizija 2020, produced by Serbia’s public broadcaster, RTS,  in the process by which Serbia is invited to choose the country’s next entry in the Eurovision 2020 contest.

A total of 90 songs were sent to the channel, compared to 76 from last year’s process, while a special jury of native musicians approved all 90 entries. In the next few days, the panel will listen to all the entries and evaluate them, choosing the best to participate in the Beovizija 2020.

To date, the number of entries in the national final has not been disclosed, nor what form it will take. For history, the 2019 national final consisted of 24 entries in two semifinals. The winner of the 2019 Beovizija was Nevena Božović and the song “Kruna”, which finished 18th in the Grand Final with 89 points.
