In a surprising early announcement, SBS has revealed that long-time Eurovision commentators, Myf Warhurst and Joel Creasey, will not be returning to host the Australian broadcast of Eurovision in 2025. The beloved duo, who have been the voices of Australia’s Eurovision experience since 2017, have decided it’s time to step away from the role after so many years.

We have absolutely adored watching our Australian artists compete on the world stage and it’s been a privilege to bring that experience to our dedicated Australian Eurovision fans. We are very grateful to SBS and Blink TV, and one of the best things to come out of this journey is our beautiful friendship. We certainly aim to work together again soon.

They also expressed their gratitude to SBS for the opportunity and have left open the possibility of future collaborations.

As the Eurovision 2025 season approaches, SBS has thanked Myf and Joel for their exceptional contribution to the network’s Eurovision coverage. The broadcaster has confirmed that new hosts will be announced in due course, promising an exciting new chapter for Australia’s Eurovision commentary.
