Lithuania: Results of the second semi-final of “Eurovizija.lt 2025”!

Lithuania has begun its search for its representative and entry for Eurovision 2025. The process, now known as “Eurovizija.lt,” organized by Lithuanian public television, consists of five semi-finals and one final. Just a few minutes ago, the second semi-final was completed, with two contestants advancing to the next phase of the final.

The hosts of the evening were Gabrielė Martirosian, Nombeko Augustė Khotseng, and Rimvydas Černiauskas.

The judging panel consisted of:
  • Ramūnas Zilnys (popular music editor at LRT)
  • Stanislavas Stavickis-Stano (Singer and Composer)
  • Ieva Narkutė (Singer)
  • Kamilė Gudmonaitė (Director and member of the group “Kamanius šilelis”)
  • Vytautas Bikus (Composer, Music Producer)

The eight songs competing for the two spots in the grand final were:

  • Tomą Dirgėlą – “Pa§ok”

  • Halummi – “The Flame”

  • Nojus Žebrauskas-Noy – “Just Take Me On A Date”

  • Jokūbas Jankauskas – “Far Away”

  • Petunija – “l salduma”

  • Freya Alley – “Lalala”

  • Káro – “Love Bug”

  • Vilija Matačiūnaitė – “Liesti negalima”

The results: With the jury having already voted, tonight the Lithuanian public had the chance to see the live performances for the first time and vote for their favorites. The result was determined 50% by the jury and 50% by the TV audience.

 

The two artists who advanced to the grand final are:

NOY (televote winner) and Petunija (jury winner).

Eurovision: Basel is looking for volunteers!

Eurovision is looking for volunteers for the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Applications are now being accepted for 700 volunteers to assist with the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Canton of Basel-Stadt and SSR SRG need 700 volunteers, as the host city, to help with the Eurovision Song Contest. Volunteers should be at least 18 years old at the time of registration to be eligible to apply. Volunteers will work for at least 10 days from May 1 to May 20. The selection of volunteers will be based on their availability and qualifications, such as knowledge of Basel or spoken languages.

Swiss Volunteers is in charge of the volunteering program. If you apply to be one of the next Eurovision volunteers you will receive clothing, food, and training. During the Festival, volunteers will perform a range of tasks. More than 7,000 people have already expressed interest in volunteering at Eurovision.

Ireland: The Announcement of Eurosong 2025 Participants Starts on January 20!

A few weeks ago, it was revealed through the Éirevision podcast that Ireland’s national final Eurosong, which will determine this year’s representative at Eurovision, will take place on February 7.

Today, the same source announced that the artists competing in Eurosong 2025, will be revealed from Monday 20 January onwards on The Ray D’arcy show, broadcast on RTE Radio 1.

 

Last year, Ireland made a strong comeback in the contest after several years of non-qualification for the Eurovision final, achieving sixth place with Bambie Thug and the song “Doomsday Blue”. Below, you can watch last year’s performance:

Greece: Michalis Hatzigiannis to be the chairman of Ethnikós Telikós 2025 jury!

Ethnikós Telikós 2025, the song contest through which Greece is going to select its representative in the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, has been monopolizing the interest of the artistic world in recent days and will certainly continue until its holding on January 30, but also later after its complition.

Among everything we learn about the big night is that one of the most famous artists in the modern music history of Greece and Cyprus is going to have a pivotal role. As the title of the article suggests, this is Michalis Hatzigiannis, who, according to what was said on Alpha‘s morning show, Happy Day, will take on the role of the chairman of the jury, which will have a say in 50% of the result of Ethnikós Telikós.

Michalis Hatzigiannis is not unrelated to the Eurovision world as in 1998 he represented Cyprus with the song “Genesis”.

Additionally, it was announced on the same show that the night will open with a duet performance by the two presenters, Helena Paparizou and Sakis Rouvas, accompanied by the ERT symphony orchestra.

The event is going to take place at the Galatsi Olympic Hall, known as Christmas Theater, on Thursday 30th of January.

Luxembourg: The hosts of the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025!

The host of the 2025 edition of Luxembourg Song Contest, the contest though which Luxembourg is going to choose their entry for the upcoming 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, were revealed.

The national broadcaster of the country, RTL, revealed the names of the hosts of Luxembourg Song Contest 2025. These are Raoul Roos and Loïc Juchem, who are returning to the role of the presenters after last year’s successful presentation of the maiden Luxembourg Song Contest.

In addition to the names of the presenters, RTL reports that two Eurovision winners will be present, without naming them, as well as Tali, last year’s winner of the national competition and the duchy’s first representative at Eurovision 2024 after a long hiatus of 31 years.

Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 is scheduled to take place on January 25 and the winner will be decided by public vote and an international jury.
