Finland: Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2025 final to take place on February 8!
A few hours ago the date of the country’s Eurovision 2025 final was announced. So, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2025, will take place on February 8, through which seven contestants will fight for victory and Finland’s representation at the Eurovision 2025 contest in May in Basel, Switzerland. Tickets for the final, which will be held in Tampere, specifically at the Nokia Arena, will be available on 3 October.
More specifically, the artists will be announced on January 8, 2025 and the respective video clips will be made public from the 9th to the 17th of the same month.
An Instagram post from the official UMK account announced the news and more specifically gave some hints on what to expect from the next edition of the Finnish final. Tapio Hakase, chairman of UMK’s professional board, said about the competition:
“This season’s UMK will see both a great continuation of the Finnish pop tradition and a future star waiting to burst into full glory. We’ll witness explosive band energy, hear German in a UMK song, dance to an epic dance-banger and get sensitive to one of the greatest ballads in UMK history. All topped off with a song that makes you dance and cry at the same time.”
