Teya and Salena performed “Who The Hell is Edgar?” or the first time on television.

This year’s representatives of Austria appeared for the first time on the public broadcaster ORF 1, on the “Dancing Stars” Show, to perform live the song “Who The Hell is Edgar?” with which they will represent the central European nation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, in Liverpool, the United Kingdom. More than 600,000 viewers watched the show last night making it the most popular of Friday.

Austria is set to compete in the 13rd place of the Second Semi-Final which takes place on Thursday 11th of May, claiming one of the 10 tickets for the grand final on Saturday 13th of May.

Mia and Dion performed “Burning Daylight” for the first time on television.

This year’s representatives of the Netherlands appeared for the first time on Dutch television to perform live the song “Burning Daylight” with which they will represent the Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool in a few days.

The Netherlands competes in the 14th place of the first semi-final on 9 May, claiming one of the ten tickets for the grand final on Saturday 13 May.

Eurovision 2023: All the footage we will see through Eurovision.tv!

The EBU has officially published via eurovision.tv blog a “guide” to all the exclusive coverage fans will have for the contest.

For the next two weeks, everyone who’s interested in the Eurovision Song Contest will be able to see some of the behind-the-scenes, getting to know a little more about the participants on the association’s official channels.

“Be My Guest” with Clara Amfo and Rylan

A brand new series is being launched in Liverpool by the organizers, with two iconic presenters, a Clara Amfo and Rylan. The series will air on YouTube, where the duo will meet all the contestants and ask them submitted questions from social media. The series will start airing from May 4th on the official Eurovision YouTube Channel.

The first rehearsals on TikTok

TikTok has announced that it will be the official entertainment partner for this year’s Eurovision for the second consecutive year. As last year, this year the organizers and the EBU have decided that the first rehearsals will not be available to accredited journalists. Instead and exclusively, we will get the first taste of these rehearsals from the related videos that will be available on TikTok. In addition to their performances, we will also have a small look backstage before they take the stage for the first time. The first rehearsals start this Sunday, April 30th.

The second rehearsals on YouTube

As we know every year, after the second rehearsals, we watch a thirty-second preview where we see each country’s stage presence, just as we would see it on TV on the nights of semi-final and grand final. The second rehearsals start on Wednesday May 3rd and the videos will be posted every evening after each rehearsal.

“Tea” with Timur

Apart, from the first rehearsals, on TikTok, we will watch some “tea” with the Ukrainian presenter Timur Miroshnychenko. Timur will meet each artist individually right after their second rehearsals. The presenter will challenge the contestants to spill some of their gossip from their experience in Liverpool. In addition, the members of the Big Five who have not been drawn – more specifically France, Germany, Italy and Spain will have the opportunity to day which half of the Running Order they will appear in the Grand Final on 13th of May. This series will be released on the official Eurovision TikTok profile from Wednesday May 3rd to Saturday May 6th.

For a more behind-the-scenes look at what goes on inside the M&S Liverpool Arena will be given by the Podcast host Steve Holden. Steve will be giving us access to all the venues, talking to contestants, capturing exclusive behind-the-scenes footage as well as the contestants reaction to the upcoming results.

Lithuania: Monika Linkytė revealed details of her participation in Liverpool!

Monika Linkytė, the Lithuanian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, has announced that she will be making changes to her stage performance for the competition. While she will be wearing a new outfit, the amber color and motif that were part of her performance in the Lithuanian selection will remain. Monika also shared that she has prepared amber souvenirs for fans as the gemstone is dear to her, having grown up near the sea.

Joining Monika on stage in Liverpool will be backing singers from London, though their identities are yet to be revealed. Monika had previously performed with members of a London-based choir at the London Eurovision Party. The Lithuanian delegation will travel to Liverpool on April 30th.

Monika previously represented Lithuania at Eurovision in Vienna in 2015 alongside Vaidas Baumila.

To support her return to the competition, Lithuanian broadcaster LRT launched the “Pridainuojam Europą” (Singing Europe) initiative, which encourages choirs to submit clips of themselves singing a phrase from her song “Stay.”

Lithuania is scheduled to perform in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2023 on May 11th, and they will take the stage in the 15th position.

Germany: Finland is the winner of the ESC-Songcheck 2023! | Austria won the fourth and last episode!

Finland has been declared the winner of the German preview show for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

Tonight was the fourth and final episode of the German preview show ESC-Songcheck 2023. Finland’s Käärijä was declared the big winner as he received the highest score in the entire show, while Austria’s participation with Teya & Salen came out first, in the fourth and last episode.

The results of the fourth episode are as per below:

Eurovision 2023: Ruslana will be present at the 67th Song Contest!

The national broadcaster of Ukraine, UA:PBC, confirmed today that the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, Ruslana, will be present at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.

After an Instagram post in which Ruslana questioned her exclusion from the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, the national broadcaster of Ukraine confirmed that she is going to be present in Liverpool. According to UA:PBC statement:

The BBC together with the European Broadcasting Union are organising Eurovision 2023 in consultation with Public Broadcasting. On the initiative of Public Broadcasting, Ruslana, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, was included in the program of the competition. We know for sure that the singer and her team know about these plans, and what’s more, they have already made the necessary preparations.

For today, we can only emphasize that Ruslana will perform in a number of formats that will take place before and during the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, in particular in the final of the contest. As far as we know, the BBC intends to include Ruslana in the Eurovision 2023 final.

Ruslana’s victory in 2004 was a symbolic event for the entire country and initiated high standards of representation of Ukraine at the contest for almost 20 years inspired subsequent participants to new victories. So, of course, Ruslana’s participation in the show held on behalf of Ukraine is important and justified.”

Through her social media accounts Ruslana expressed her surprise that she is the only Ukrainian winner not invited at Eurovision 2023, which is hosted this year by the BBC on behalf of Ukraine. The following Ukrainian artists have already been confirmed as performing or featuring in the show:

“Remedy” is a dynamic, pop, modern and ethnic song. Remedy means: antidote, drug, treatment. The song talks about balance in our lives and embracing uncertainty.Our differences are often the real antidote that bring us into balance and shape us. The song is inspired by the 21 year old singer’s own life as a young girl with a vision,who lives life to the extreme and fulfills her dreams without being limited by her “differences”.

Eurovision 2023: Watch our poll results live on Saturday!

Saturday is the final day of our poll, as after the Grand Final voting and the 2500 different votes that we received, here are the results, which will be announced on Saturday via a live premiere on the Douze Points YouTube channel.
The premiere will take place at 21:00 CET and will be a simulation of a typical Eurovision final. The results will be presented in detail, with each Eurovisionfun editor giving their points, and after the juries’ scores, the total televoting points, determined by you, will be added! Therefore, 50% of the result was determined based on your own vote and the remaining 50% by the editors of Eurovisionfun.
