The preview show of the Icelandic public television for the participations of Eurovision 2022 is taking place for another year.

The second episode of Alla leið, took place on the night of Saturday, April 16, presented by Felix Bergsson, Iceland’s head of delegation in the contest. The four judges from the art scene of Iceland rated the songs competing in the second half of the first semifinal of Eurovision 2022 and so now we have the overall score for the first semifinal.

See the overall score below:

The first place was won by the Netherlands, the second by Norway and the third by Ukraine. It is of course impressive that the Icelandic panel, who usually rate their participation first, are now only in fifth place.

Alla leið continues in the next episode with the songs of the second semifinal.

Iceland: 4 out of 5 contestants will sing in Icelandic in the final!

According to an announcement by the Icelandic broadcaster, RUV, three of the five performers who qualified for the Söngvakeppnin final will perform their songs in Icelandic, both in the Icelandic final and at Eurovision, in case they win on Saturday.

Katla, Stefán Óli and sisters Sigga, Beta and Elín (who had not recorded an English version of their song anyway) chose to sing in Icelandic, as they did in the semifinals.

Reykjavíkurdætur, or Daugthers of Reykjavik, will perform the English version of their song, which also contains lyrics in Icelandic. Therefore, the only entry excusively in English is Amarosis, who were eliminated in the first semi-final but selected by the committee to compete in the final as a wildcard.
