You can read the lyrics of the third semi-final songs below:

1. Cazzi Opeia – “I Can’t Get Enough(Writers: Bishat Araya, Jakob Redtzer, Cazzi Opeia, Paul Rey)

(Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah)

I know that i’m a mess

I’m the first one to confess

I got issues

Baby I got issues

We both got pretty scars

But I love your every flaw

When I’m with you

I won’t try to fix you

So what, so what if we get drunk

Or get a little wild, sometimes

Oh I

don’t mind if we get in a fight

As long as we collide

I feel alive

Oh when you taste like that

And I could die

Oh with a face like that

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough of you

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough of you

I’m haunted by your kiss

And the flavour of your lips

Let me have it

Baby I’m an addict

Oh no I can’t resist

Your touch, your fingertips

Is like no other

We’re perfect for each other

Oh so what If the world is upside down

As long as you’re around

I feel alive

Oh when you taste like that

And I could die

Oh with a face like that

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough of you

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough of you

Life is so much so much better

When we are together

So why be alone?

No one love me love me better

Lucky number 7

Baby you’re the one

And I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough of you

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough

I can’t get enough of you

(Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah)

2. Lancelot  - “Lyckligt slut(Writers: Lancelot Hedman, Niklas Carson Mattsson )

Utanför porten

Står jag och ler

Ler som en idiot

Fåglarna sjunger

Sjunger i dur

Allt är så vackert nu

Men jag

Vill inte ha nåt vackert

Jag vill ha nåt som är fult

För vackert har ett slut

Jag kunde dö just nu

Med dig här i min famn

Vi dansar livet ut

Alla sorger blir till sand

För om tiden rinner ut

Om det är över nu

Får jag ett lyckligt slut

Kanske för bra men

Låt det va sant

Ljuger jag för mig själv?

Svävar bland molnen

Men väntar på storm

Allt är för underbart

Men jag

Vill inte ha nåt vackert

Jag vill ha nåt som är fult

För vackert har ett slut

Jag kunde dö just nu

Med dig här i min famn

Vi dansar livet ut

Alla sorger blir till sand

För om tiden rinner ut

Om det är över nu

Får jag ett lyckligt slut

Nej jag

Vill inte ha nåt vackert

Jag vill ha nåt som är fult

För vackert har ett slut

Jag kunde dö just nu

Med dig här i min famn

Vi dansar livet ut

Alla sorger blir till sand

För om tiden rinner ut

Finns det ett lyckligt slut

För nån som jag och du?

3. Lisa Miskovsky  – “Best to Come(Writers, David Lindgren Zacharias)

I won’t settle,

I won’t settle down

Not even if you’re telling me

I’ll be the chooser

Now or never,

now or never now

I’m leaving all you left behind

To light up the future

I would give it all I got

I will never run

Never hide

Never showing you, I cried

I’m not giving you a chance to say goodbye

It will always hurt

Not in vain

More like driving in the rain

But I still believe the best is still to come

It’s still to come

Please just hear me,

please just hear me out

I’m heading down the highway now

Through the snow and the gravel

You can say that I’m different

that I’ve changed into this

What is lost can be found

It’s just a matter of time,

please don’t leave me like this

I will never run

Never hide

Never showing you, I cried

I’m not giving you a chance to say goodbye

It will always hurt

Not in vain

More like driving in the rain

But I still believe the best is still to come

It’s still to come

I will never run

Never hide

Never showing you, I cried

I’m not giving you a chance to say goodbye

Cause you will always see the darkness ahead of you

let me light up the future

I’m not giving you a chance to say goodbye

It will always hurt

Not in vain

More like driving in the rain

But I still believe the best is still to come

And it’s still to come

4. Tribe Friday – “Shut Me Up (Writers: Isak Gunnarsson, Robin Hanberger Pérez, Noah Deutschmann)

It’s way past half-to-nine

But you don’t seem to mind,

Do you?

You’ve got your sugar lines

I couldn’t dare to try,

But you

You’re so loud-mouthed

I’m so far out

Is it alright?

‘Cause I just wanted to say

She shut me up!

I really tried to speak my mind,

But she shut me up

And I hope it’s not the last time

She shut me up

She shut me up,

We’re suddenly so silent,

But that’s alright

You play pretend but I

I think we’re past that line,

Don’t you?

Oh, don’t you?

I’ve got to head back soon

Unless you make your move right now

She said

“You’re so pretty”

Am I really?

And I tried to reply

She shut me up!

I really tried to speak my mind,

But she shut me up

And I hope it’s not the last time

She shut me up

She shut me up,

We’re suddenly so silent,

But that’s alright

“Meet me in an hour two hours away”,

They said

But she don’t want me leaving so—

She shut me up!

I really tried to speak my mind but,

She shut me up

And I hope it’s not the last time

She shut me up

She shut me up,

We’re suddenly so silent,

She shut me up!

She shut me up, up, up, up

We’re suddenly so silent,

But that’s alright

5. Faith Kakembo – “Freedom (Writers: Laurell Barker, Anderz Wrethov, Palle Hammarlund, Faith Kakembo)

I don’t see the love

I just see the wounds

I just feel the struggle here in me

Can’t it be enough

Just being a human

I hate the way we make each other bleed

I won’t give up

I’m not afraid

No my hope don’t stop believing

I can trust

Won’t suffocate

Know my heart’s gonna keep me breathing

Till I find

My

Freedom

Oh until I

Find

My

Freedom

I can see the life

Where everybody’s healed

Tell me how much trouble would that be?

Cuz I know you and I

We could write the sequel

We could turn nightmares into dreams

I won’t give up

I’m not afraid

No my hope don’t stop believing I can trust

Won’t suffocate

Know my heart’s gonna keep me breathing

Till I find

My

Freedom

Oh until I

Find

My

Freedom

I’m caught in a notion

I’m getting no peace

Proposing a motion

this world’s gotta see

Keep movin’ it forward

until you and me

Find

Find

Freedom

I won’t give up

I’m not afraid

No my hope don’t stop believing

I can trust

Won’t suffocate

Yeah my heart’s gonna keep me breathing

I won’t give up

I’m not afraid

No my hope don’t stop believing

I can trust

Won’t suffocate

Yeah my heart’s gonna keep me breathing

Till I find

My

Freedom

Oh until I

Find

My

Freedom

6. Linda Bengtzing – “Fyrfaldigt hurra! (Writers: Thomas G:son, Linda Bengtzing, Myra Granberg, Daniel Jelldéus)

Vet att jag inte är den bästa

Till och med värre än dom flesta

Men mina snedsteg gör mig ännu mera resolut

7. Anders Bagge – “Bigger Than The Universe (Writers: Anders Bagge, Jimmy Jansson, Peter Boström, Thomas G:son)

I’m sitting here

In my apple tree

There’s a guiding light shining down on me

I can see the dawning of my life

Bigger than the universe

Just take my hand

Put your trust in fate

Let us leave this world for a better place

A place where all the darkest days are gone

And everyone’s a champion

Hear, my heart is

beating like a symphony

And every word is poetry

We are, we are

Reaching for the stars like

satellites up in the sky

In a world of you and I

We are, we are

Bigger than the universe

As I’m sitting here

In my apple tree

There’s a rain of hope pouring down on me

I can see the sunrise of my soul

Bigger than the universe

Forever young

Join the ride with me

There’s an open road to eternity

We’re dancin’ on the edge,

we’re wild and free

Hear, my heart is

beating like a symphony

And every word is poetry

We are, we are

Reaching for the stars like

satellites up in the sky

In a world of you and I

We are, we are

Bigger than the universe

We are, we are

We are, we are

Bigger than the universe

We are, we are

We are, we are

We are bigger than the universe

We are, we are

We are, we are

Oh, bigger than the universe

We are, we are

We are, we are

Bigger than the universe

We are, we are

Sweden: The favorites at Melodifestivalen 2021 according to the first odds!

Yes, you read that right, the odds for the winner of Melodifestivalen 2021 has already started in Sweden. The betting company Svenska Spel gives the first bettings for victory to the 28 artists that were announced a few hours ago on by SVT.

It is a given that in terms of names, Melodifestivalen 2021 is probably the strongest ever. There are five former winners, as well as many other candidates who have left significant successes in this contest.

Many take it for granted that the victory will be judged between Eric Saade and Danny Saucedo, having a repeat of the Melodifestivalen 2011, when Eric managed to prevail with Popular and then give Sweden a third place in the Eurovision Song Contest.

The bets agree with the surrounding atmosphere and have as their favorite the two 30-year-old artists, but giving the lead for the victory this time to Danny Saucedo! Following are the winners of this year’s Melodifestivalen The Mamas, followed by the winner of Pop Idol Tusse and then we meet Dotter and Charlotte Perrelli. The rest of the contestants have much lower odds. In fact, the betting difference between Danny and Eric is quite large.

Odds for Melodifestivalen winner at Svenska Spen, at 20.30 cet, 3/12:

Danny 3,45
Eric 5,50
The Mamas 8,40
Tusse 12,00
Dotter 13,00
Charlotte 17,00
Anton 20,00
Kadiatou 22,00
Paul Rey 22,00
Frida Green 25,00
Arvingarna 25,00
Alvaro 30,00
Emil 30,00
Sannex 40,00
Moustasch 40,00
Efraim 50,00
Patrik 50,00
Nathalie 60,00
Jessica 60,00
Lovad 60,00
Tess 60,00
Elisa 60,00
Lillasyster 75,00
Wahl & Sami 75,00
Klara 75,00
Clara 75,00
Julia 210,00
Eva & Ewa 210,00

Of course, all of the above are too early and reflect the dynamics of these names in the announcement of their candidacy in Melodifestivalen 2021. A lot will change on the way to the final on March 13, but maybe not… However last year, The Mamas were not among the first favorites and yet even with a difference of 1 point, were the ones who were crowned winners in the end!

Stay tuned to Eurovision Fun for all the developments related to Melodifestivalen 2021!

Sweden: Eric Saade near his return to Melodifestivalen | Two more names confirmed!

An artist who has been a target of Christer Bjorkman almost every year, seems to be thinking seriously this year. We are referring, of course, to Eric Saade, who in 2011 took third place in the Eurovision Song Contest with Popular. But two more names confirm their participation. These are Arvingarna, but also Paul Rey.

Eric Saade returns to Melodifestivalen

The production team of Melodifestivalen would love Eric Saade and tried to persuade him to participate again this year, but without success. In 2021 things are easier. In fact, a person close to the artist states that it is most likely that we will see him competing in Melodifestivalen 2021. Another Aftonbladet source claims that he has not decided yet, although he has a very strong song in his hands.

If Eric Saade finally says yes, it will be his fourth participation in the Melodifestivalen, which as we said above he won in 2011, then representing Sweden in Eurovision. He was the presenter of the Green Room at Eurovision 2013, in Malme, while he was also the presenter of the Melodifestivalen.

Sixth entry for Arvingarna

The band Arvingarna, which represented Sweden in 1993 at Eurovision, after their victory at Melodifestivalen that year, returns for its sixth appearance. Arvingarna’s last participation in the Melodifestivalen was in 2019, managing to qualify for the final through the second chance. Their entry, I Do, which took 7th place became a great success and so the Arvingarna decided to try again.

Second consecutive attempt for Paul Rey

Paul Rey left the best impressions with his participation in Melodifestivalen 2020, even occupying the sixth place in the final. He will be the fifth artist from this year’s Melodifestivalen to participate again, after The Mammas, Dotter, Alvaro Estrella and Klara Hammarström. He has been preparing for his participation for a long time, hoping that this time he will do even better.

The artists who have confirmed for Melodifestivalen 2021 until now are:

  1. Julia Alfrida  (from the radion contest P4 nästa)
  2. Tusse Chiza
  3. Sannex
  4. Sami Rekik och Wahl
  5. The Mamas
  6. Dotter
  7. Jessica Andersson
  8. Klara Hammarström
  9. Alvaro Estrella
  10. Arvingarna
  11. Paul Rey

The artists who are rumored for participation in Melodifestivalen 2021:

  1. Eric Saade

The program of Melodifestivalen 2021 is as follows:

  • 1st semifinal on February 6
  • 2nd semifinal on February 13
  • 3rd semifinal on February 20
  • 4th semifinal on February 27
  • Second chance round on March 6
  • The final on March 13

The full list of participants for Melodifestivalen 2021 is expected to be revealed by the end of November. At this point, let us remind you that up to 2747 songs have been submitted for the upcoming Melodifestivalen.

Sweden: The detailed results of Melodifestivalen 2020

Sweden’s representatives at Eurovision 2020 after winning with just one point in the Melodifestivalen are the Mamas with the song “Move”. Not long ago, Swedish public television announced the analytical results of the Melodifestivalen, both in the semi-finals and in the final, which was awaited by many.

Before we look at the results, it is good to remind you of this year’s voting system so you can better understand the results of the public.

The televoting was divided into ages groups

It was not possible to vote via sms this year, as the producers of Melodifestivalen emphasized that sms votes were scarce. The only way to vote was by phone or special application.

Voting through the app required you to state your age. Viewers were divided into seven categories as follows:

-Green: 3 to 9 years old
-Turquoise: 10 to 15 years
-Blue: 16 to 29 years old
-Purple: 30 to 44 years old
-Pink: 45 to 59 years old
-Red: 60 to 74 years old
-Orange: 75 and above

Changes to the vote

The eighth category was voting by telephone, where age cannot be ascertained. Each category had 43 points in the semifinals (12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1) and 58 in the final (12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). In the second chance round he scored 1 point in the song that he preferred in each duel, and in the case of a tie (4-4), he was the one who received the most votes. Another change was that the international jury in the final was reduced from eleven to eight, so that their numbers were the same as the age groups, and they also had 58 points, just like the public groups. Each user of the app could give up to five hearts (votes) per song.

The results of Melodifestivalen 2020

First let’s say that all the nights were counted 44 million votes, a decrease of 12.5% compared to the previous year, as Melodifestivalen 2019 counted 50 million votes.

In the final, the Mamas garnered the most votes, 1,610,446, with Dotter receiving 1,489,636. If the rules that were in force until 2018 had been used in the Melodifestivalen 2020 final, the first two places would not have changed. The Mamas would have earned 122 points and Dotter 118.

Another important point is that those who voted by phone agreed with the ratings of the app voters, with the only exception being the third semifinal they voted for Drängarna and the final that they voted for Anna Bergendahl.

Let’s now look at the 12s in the final category:

3-9: Hanna Ferm

10-15: The Mamas

16-29: The Mamas

30-44: Dotter

45-59: Anna Bergendahl

60-74: Anna Bergendahl

75 and above: Anna Bergendahl

Phones: Anna Bergendahl

Dotter, despite receiving a 12th, was in the top three in all age categories. The Mamas received some high scores and some middle scores. Anna Bergendahl though she received four 12s, received two 0s from the two younger age categories.

Winners of every night and category:

Winner of Melodifestivalen: The Mamas.
Winner of the vote: The Mamas.
Jury winner: Dotter.
First Semifinal Winner: The Mamas.
Second Semifinal Winner: Anna Bergendahl.
Third Semifinal Winner: Mariette.
Fourth Semifinal Winner: Hanna Ferm.
Second Chance Winner: Anis Don Demina

Below are the results in the final:
