American Song Contest: The viewing figures of the fifth qualifier round!
The final qualifying round of the American Song Contest took place on Monday night.
In Monday’s qualifier round, 16-year-old Ada LeAnn with her song “Natalie” representing Michigan was named the new American Song Contest semifinalist after winning the judges’ vote. In addition, Jared Lee (Massachusetts), Stela Cole (Georgia) and MARi (New Hampshire) were announced as the remaining semifinalists of the 4th qualifier round.
One day after the final round of the competition’s qualifying round, Nielsen gave us new ratings data for the competition. The latest American Song Contest qualifier round round averaged 1,470,000 viewers during its 120 minutes. In the 18-49 age group, the most important age group for advertisers, the heat drew 0.3% viewership (viewership as a percentage of the total population in this age group).
Compared to last week, the latest round of the American Singing Contest elimination managed a slight 2.08% increase in share of viewership. In one week, the competition picked up 70,000 viewers. Since its premiere, it has lost 52.7% of the audience.
The first part (20:00-21:00) was watched by 1,637,000 viewers (0.3% 18-49 rating) and the second part (21:00-22:00) by 1,304,000 viewers (0.2% 18-49 rating). In both positions, it was the fourth pick of the night!
