Eurovision 2022: Switzerland First Rehearsal!
Next up on the stage of Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is Switzerland. Marius Bear with the song “Boys Do Cry” is ready for his first rehearsal on the stage of PalaOlimpico in Turin!
Who is Marius Bear?
Marius is a multi-talented musician from Appenzell in Switzerland. In 2016, Bear abandoned his plan of becoming a construction machinery mechanic, in order to tour Germany and Switzerland as a street musician. At one festival, he got to know a famous producer who invited him to New York, and quickly became part of the Swiss artistic and creative arts scene there.
The globe-trobber was on the move once more in 2017, heading to the United Kingdom, where he studied music production at the prestigious BIMM Institute in London. It was this literal journey of self-discovery that ultimately led to the release of his first album, Not Loud Enough, which soared into the Top 20 of the Swiss album charts.
The Rehearsal
Following on from Lithuania, we’ve got another stripped back, classy performance from Switzerland’s Marius – he’s dressed all in black, with nothing more than a spotlight and some atmospheric lighting for support. His vocal sounds great – he has a really distinctive voice and the acoustics in the Pala Olimpico are adding some extra drama.
That was a really nice rehearsal, we suspect the Swiss delegation will be very happy with that.
