Trijntje Oosterhuis would not participate in Eurovision again
The Netherlands representative for Eurovision Trijntje Oosterhuis would not consider participating in Eurovision again.
During an interview for VROU, the singer, who represented the Netherlands in 2015, said that “singing at a jazz festival” makes her much happier.
“It was great to experience, but I wasn’t really eager at the time, because I was pregnant three and a half months. No one knew that, but I had something else on my mind. I let myself be persuaded and it was a great experience, but singing at a jazz festival makes me happier.”
Claude will represent the Netherlands in 2025
Singer Claude will represent the Netherlands. AVROTROS announced last month that the selection committee chose the 21-year-old singer from 331 entries.
Claude, the stage name of Claude Kiambe, was born in Congo and came to the Netherlands at 13. In the fall of 2022, he debuted with the hit Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot), where he sings in Dutch and French. He also applied that recipe to successful successors such as Layla and Écoutez-moi. He was one of the participants in the popular program Beste Zangers. His debut album Parler Français was also released; earlier this year, he was one of the Ambassadors of Freedom.
