Israel: Eden originally intended to finish her appearance with the hostage pin!
The head of the Israeli delegation, Yoav Tsafir, revealed a lot of interesting things during his interview yesterday. In addition to what he said about everything that was happening behind the scenes of the competition, he revealed that the original thought was for Eden Golan at the end of her appearance in the final, to display the yellow bow pin, a symbol of support for the return of the hostages, Hamas still holds.
Yoav Tsafir gave his own version of everything that dynamized behind the scenes this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. But apart from these, he mentioned that the Israeli delegation originally intended for Eden Golan to complete her appearance in the final with the pin-symbol of the abductees.
But in the end they decided to respect the regulations and the EBU, which from the beginning was in favor of Israel’s participation. In fact, Yoav Tsafir reports on this:
Finally, there is next year. The EBU was in favor of our participation and I thought we should play by the rules. The Swedes appreciated it…
Eden Golan returning to Israel sang the original version of Hurricane at a rally in Tel Aviv for the return of the hostages, performing October Rain live for the first time.
