Albania: Festivali i Këngës 59 to be held on December 17, 18 and 19!

In less than a month we will officially know the first song of Eurovision 2021. As revealed in a tv interview by Era Rusi, one of the candidates of FiK 59, the annual Albanian song festival will take place on December 17, 18 and 19!

FiK without live orchestra for the first time

Era Rusi revealed other important details. Specifically, she stated that Festivali i Këngës 59, for the first time in its history, will be held without a live orchestra. This was something that had become known as a possibility, in order not to have a large conglomeration of people. Albanian public broadcaster reported on the issue, in a meeting with reporters, saying that if the pandemic did not allow it, FiK 59 would take place without a live orchestra, but with pre-recorded music.

In addition, Era Rusi stated that as far as she knows, there will be no audience, for the same reason that there will be no live orchestra. FiK 59 will take place in Italy Square in Tirana, leaving its traditional home, the Congress Palace.

Era Rusi also referred to her life, saying that for seven years she lived and worked permanently in Thessaloniki, in Greece. As she explained, she speaks fluent Greek, while she also likes to sing Greek songs.
