Portugal: First Festival da Canção 2022 Semi-Final tonight!

The Festival da Canção 2022 starts tonight, through which Portugal will choose its representative at Eurovision 2022.

The Portuguese national final will take place on three different nights: two semifinals on March 5th and 7th and the grand final on March 12th.

Contestants

Ten artists are participating in tonight’s first semifinal of the Festival da Canção 2022. These artists are:

1. Os Quatro E Meia – Amanhã
2. TheMisterDriver – CaliSun
3. Diana Castro – Ginger Ale
4. FF – Bom Esperar Alguém
5. Norton – Hope
6. Aurea – Why
7. Kumpania Algazarra – A Minha Praia
8. MARO – saudade, saudade
9. Valas & Os Astronautas – Odisseia
10. Fado Bicha – Povo Pequenino

Five artists will qualify for next Saturday’s grand final. The first five finalists will be chosen by50% of the will of the Portuguese public and 50% of the preference of the jury.

Presenters of the first semifinal of the Festival da Canção 2022 are Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel.
