Ukraine: The national final returns with changes for Eurovision 2024!

Ukraine’s broadcaster Suspilne confirmed this morning that Ukraine‘s representative at Eurovision 2024 will be selected for yet another year through a national final.

Dmytro Shurov (Pianoboy), who is acting as producer for the national final for the second year in a row, commented:

“In a few days, applications for the National Final will open and the new Eurovision season in Ukraine will begin. I appeal to everyone now: tune in, we need to create and select the next song that will make the country proud, a song that will capture the hearts of all of Europe and ignite a new star from Ukraine. A surprise is waiting for you this year – you can choose yourself one of the finalists. Many interesting things lie ahead.”

As Shurov hinted, there will be changes to the format of the Ukrainian national final, with Head of Delegation Oksana Skybinska confirming that more details will be announced this week. The application platform for interested artists will open later this week.

Tvorchi represented Ukraine with “Heart of Steel” at Eurovision 2023, held in Liverpool, UK, and placed 6th, scoring 54 points from the juries and 189 points from the public vote, receiving a total of 243 points.
