The jury listened to all the 215 songs submitted and they have already made their choices. The jury consisted of 41 people including artists, radio and TV professionals, producers, teachers and just plain music lover.

“This year’s jury is the largest in the history of Estonian Song and represents the full palette of the Estonian music world. We put together, the experience of Eesti Laul and Eurovision, the perspective of classical and pop music, producers, listeners and people whose work takes place in music. We are extremely grateful to the jury for their work, because it there were definitely several days of good listening!”

The song evaluation was made anonymously without knowing who the artists or the author of the song was. As we already told, the song announcement and presentation will be made next Monday and Tuesday. On November 6 we will know the artists that will compete in the semi-final, while on November 7 the artists that qualify directly to the final will be revealed.

The semi-final of Eesti Laul will take place in Tartu on January 20 and the final on February 17 in Tallinn. Grete Kulda and Tõnis Niinemets will be the hosts of the show, but before that they will also appear on the show “Ringvaate” on November 6 and 7 where they will introduce the contestants.
