Slovenia: Eurovision 2024 representative to be announced shortly!

The Slovenian public broadcaster, RTVSLO, has just announced that the representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has already been chosen, and the plan to host a national final is scrapped!

RTVSLO, had initially announced that the representative of Slovenia, that would fly to Malmö, will be selected through a national final named “Misija Malmö”, however they just made a major announcement:

“We at Televizija Slovenija are very happy that, after last year’s extraordinary success of the band Joker Out, which fills concert halls across Europe, we are once again embarking on the Eurovision journey. Based on the votes of the international expert committee, Television Slovenia has decided to choose one artist to represent us at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.“

The public broadcaster will reveal the name of the artist in a press conference that will take place in December 12, at 12:00 CET, at the SNG Opera and Ballet, located in Ljubljana.

The song that will represent the country will once again be in Slovenian language and it will be released by the second half of January 2024.
