Germany: Chefsache ESC 2025 Heat One Viewership!

Υesterday, the first heat of Chefsache ESC 2025 was broadcast on RTL and online via RTL+. This show is a unique collaboration between German private broadcaster RTL, public broadcasting network ARD, and television producer and former German Eurovision participant Stefan Raab.

Last night’s broadcast was watched by 2.14 million viewers in Germany across the three hour show. That means the viewing figures for this heat were close to those that watched last year’s German national final. Additionally, 980,000 viewers were aged between 14 and 49.

RTL claimed that these audience figures were strong, and have also said that the ratings in the 14-49 demographic are the strongest for a Eurovision selection in 20 years. Additionally, RTL aired a Eurovision documentary, “Faszination ESC”, on Friday evening, which aired 1.16 million viewers as well.

The Chefsache ESC 2025 Schedule

The competition consists of:

  • 1st Qualifier: 14 February (Completed)
  • 2nd Qualifier: 15 February (Tonight)
  • Semi-Final: 22 February
  • Grand Final: 1 March

All qualifiers and the semi-final will air on RTL, while the grand final will be broadcast on Das Erste.

How the Competition Works

  • From each qualifier, seven acts advance to the semi-final.
  • The jury decides who moves forward during the qualifiers and semi-final.
  • In the grand final, it’s entirely up to the public vote to choose Germany’s Eurovision 2025 act.

Will Chefsache ESC 2025 find the magic formula for a top result in Basel?

Stay tuned to Eurovisionfun for all the latest updates and tonight’s results!
