Israel: Yuval Raphael’s entry for Eurovision 2025 will be released on March 9th!

It’s been two weeks since Yuval Raphael emerged as the winner of HaKokhav Haba and secured the chance to represent Israel at Eurovision 2025. Prior to her victory, KAN opened a submission window inviting songwriters and composers to submit their entries for the upcoming contest.

Today, KAN announced that we will first listen Israel’s entry for Eurovision 2025 on March 9th. The song will be released on Kan 11, Kan Gimel, Kan BOX, and Kan’s digital platforms.

How will Yuval Raphael’s song be selected?

With more than fifty submissions received, the process of selecting the right song for Eurovision 2025 is already underway. A special committee will review all the songs anonymously before conducting a secret vote to determine which one will best represent Israel on the Eurovision stage.

Once the song is chosen, Yuval Raphael will begin recording it, and a music video will be shot upon the official release. Additionally, the final track will undergo a review by the EBU, which will ensure the song meets all necessary guidelines.

KAN has expressed high hopes for Israel’s participation in Eurovision 2025, as evidenced by the significant investment in this year’s participation -a record budget of approximately one million euros.

Last year’s winner of HaKokhav Haba and the country’s representative at Eurovision 2024 was Eden Golan, with her song “Hurricane”, ending up in fifth place in the final ranking.
