She wears a green dress and is accompanied by 5 dancers, also dressed in green , while the LEDs show a mountain landscape in purple. At one point the singer’s dress is removed to reveal a leopard ensemble and present a dynamic vocal and dance performance. She looks more comfortable and stable vocally from the semi-final, showing that she doesn’t want to miss her ticket to Basel.
2. Victoria – “Juno“
Another favourite, Victoria, takes to the stage and gets one of the biggest applause of the night. With a futuristic look and a very dynamic performance, she drives the audience crazy, especially on the bridge, during which she performs an acrobatic choreography with the help of four dancers.
3. Dario Bezzina ft. Żeppi l-Muni – “Għażliet“
It’s the turn of the duo Dario and Żeppi to take to the stage. Yellow lights bathe the singers, while at the same time the LEDs are shades and patterns of sand. Vocally they are quite solid and offer a moving presentation. At the end, fireworks also appear from the roof of the stadium.
4. JVF – “Festa (No Time for Siesta)“
Next on stage are JVF, who put the audience in carnival rhythms. Dressed in red and with a variety of colors and fireworks on their LEDs, they know how to entertain the audience, delivering their song with a lot of energy and few mistakes.
5. The Alchemists – “Rubble & Stone“
“The Alchemists” take the stage, with the audience cheering before they even start performing. The stage is bathed in lights, hot LED colours, fireworks and smoke and the band seem to be enjoying their performance. Vocally they are better than the semi-finalist and look more comfortable on stage.
6. Krista Šujak – “Unheard“
Krista’s turn to set foot on the stage, which alternates between warm and cool tones. She knows how to fill the stage and show off her vocal skills once again, taking advantage of the changes in lighting and LEDs and manages to get the audience’s applause.
7. Raquela – “Silenced“
Next is Raquela with a dynamic ballad, which despite some instabilities she delivers very nicely. At the beginning she is alone, and then she is accompanied by four dancers. The whole setting is strongly reminiscent of the spring season, in soft lighting and with flowers as props in the middle of the stage.
8. Kantera – “LalaRataTakeke LalaRataKabum“
Kantera take to the stage with a very traditional and fun performance with the audience getting excited already with the announcement of their name. The LEDs are dominated by traditional landscapes and motifs, while they themselves are dressed in traditional costumes. Surrounded by plants, they deliver a performance full of energy, enjoying every moment on stage.
9. Nathan – “Concrete“
Nathan appears on stage on a vertical circular structure. LEDs and lights add warm tones to the performance. Towards the end, vapors appear along with fireworks, making the performance even more impressive. Vocally while there were some instabilities at the beginning, the singer seems more confident as he enjoys his time on stage.
10. Justine Shorfid – “Still I Rise“
Next up is Justine to perform an up-tempo ballad, which gets the audience going before it even starts. Wearing a gold dress and performing a quite emotional performance in dark and red lighting, she shows that she knows how to set the stage on fire.
11. Adria Twins – “Qalb ma’ Qalb“
Next on stage are the Adria sisters performing a ballad. They stand on two tiered white structures, dressed in identical burgundy dresses and perform a very emotional performance on the smoke-filled stage.
12. Martina Borg – “Yo Listen“
It’s Martina’s turn to take the stage and perform her song. She is accompanied by four dancers dressed in black, while she wears a yellow jacket, on the stage full of lights and blue colours. Vocally she appears very steady and manages to convey the pulse to the audience.
13. Mark Anthony Bartolo – “Hideaway“
Next on stage is Mark with a country ballad. He is seated in the middle of the stage, playing his guitar and surrounded by white flowers. He comes to the front of the stage during the chorus, and vocally the performance has some problems, but relatively improved from the semi-final.
14. Kurt Calleja – “Aziz/a“
Nearing the end, Kurt comes on stage with an up-tempo track. Against the backdrop of a modern city he performs his song a little weakly, accompanied by three dancers, while at the end the stage is flooded with a plethora of colours, corresponding to the joyful mood of the performance.
15. Kristy Spiteri – “Heaven Sent“
One of the favourites to represent Malta in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Kristy Spiteri takes to the stage. On a raised structure, dressed in white, with a dark aesthetic and angel figures on the LEDs, she performs her song in a creepy way and captivates the audience, proving that she is rightly one of the favourites.
16. Stefan Galea – “Lablab (Talk Talk)“
The show is closed by Stefan, who is on stage with a very special song, that makes the audience go crazy. He is accompanied by four dancers, who hold two screens in their hands and with a modern aesthetic he performs his song with a lot of energy.
