Sanremo 2025: Revenue, Costs, and Economic Impact
The Sanremo 2025 Festival is not just a musical event but an economic powerhouse with a massive financial impact. According to EY estimates, its total economic footprint reaches €245.1 million, with an added value of €97.9 million and the creation of 1,459 jobs.
How Much Does Sanremo 2025 Cost?
RAI spent approximately €20 million on the event, covering the rental of the Ariston Theatre (€1.6 million), staff salaries, and the rights to the “Festival della Canzone Italiana” brand.
Major expenses include host Carlo Conti’s fee (€500,000), co-hosts’ compensation (€20,000 – €40,000 each), and super guests’ fees (€50,000 – €100,000). Contestants do not receive direct payment but are reimbursed for expenses (€62,000, plus €3,000 per band member).
Revenue and Advertising Profits
Sanremo 2025 is expected to break revenue records, with RAI already securing €67 million from advertising and sponsorships—surpassing the €60 million earned in 2024. Rising viewership (66% average share) has allowed for a 7% increase in ad prices.
Ticket Prices
Ticket prices increased by 19% compared to last year. For the first four nights, prices are €110 (gallery) and €200 (stalls), while for the final, they rise to €360 and €730, respectively.
Economic Impact
The festival generated a direct economic impact of €20 million, with an additional €27.9 million from indirect effects. Advertising and sponsorship investments contributed €172 million, creating 910 jobs.
