There are 24 songs vying for the Golden Lion, which is six fewer than the 30 entries in the competition this year.
- First night: 24 artists will perform their songs. The top five will be announced in random order.
- Second night: 12 artists will perform their songs for the second time. The top five will be announced in random order.
- Third night: The remaining 12 artists will perform their contest songs for the second time. The top five will be announced in random order.
- Fourth night: the competing artists will perform a duet/cover of an already existing song. There will be a winner, but this night’s results will not add up to the final results.
- Fifth night: 24 artists will perform their songs. The top five performers from the combined rankings of all previous nights will qualify for the superfinal. The audience and judges will vote to determine the winner after they perform their song a second time.
