North Macedonia: Officially Out of Eurovision 2025
North Macedonia has officially withdrawn from Eurovision 2025, marking its third consecutive year of absence from the competition.
The country’s national broadcaster, MRT, released its budget for 2025, and as previously reported by local media and Eurovisionfun, no funds are allocated for Eurovision participation. MRT appears to have no immediate plans for a return, with financial constraints cited as the primary reason for the ongoing absence. North Macedonia, however, will continue its involvement in the Junior Eurovision, a contest with significantly lower financial requirements.
Of the Balkan nations, only Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Albania, and Montenegro (returning after a two-year break) will participate in Eurovision 2025. Some of these countries are also facing financial challenges, raising questions about their future participation. Romania and Bulgaria remain uncertain about their involvement.
North Macedonia’s last Eurovision appearance was in 2022 with Andrea and the song “Circles,” which placed 11th in the second semifinal.

Hey, but actually I can see this part – Трошоци за проект Евровизијa which translates to Costs for project Eurovision.
Its cost for Eurovision broadcasting
Thank you for your reply. It sounds unbelievable that broadcasting Eurovision costs €32,000! Additionally, I see they’re paying fees of around €284,000 to both the EBU and the European Association of Regional Televisions (CIRCOM), which should cover the rights to broadcast all EBU shows.
