Italy: Sanremo 2025’s Terza Serata Draws High Viewership | Everything We Saw

The success of Sanremo in Carlo Conti’s new era continues. The third night of the festival was watched by 10.4 million viewers, capturing 59.7% of the TV audience. As expected, there were no surprises in last night’s results.

RAI executives are highly satisfied with their decision to bring Carlo Conti back as host and artistic director of the festival, as Sanremo 2025 is achieving the highest viewership figures in decades.

The Terza Serata was followed by 10.4 million viewers. The first part attracted 13.35 million, while the second had 6.48 million. The audience share reached 59.7%, peaking at 70% when Olly, the only favorite performing last night, took the stage at Teatro Ariston.

Last night’s main guest performers were Duran Duran, marking their fifth appearance in the festival’s history. This makes them, alongside Take That, the most frequent guest performers in Sanremo.

Additionally, the final of the Newcomers category took place, with a surprising outcome. Settembre won with 52.5% of the votes, performing the song Vertebre.

Regarding the overall results, there were no surprises. The only artist who was in the Top 5 on the first night, Brunori Sas, remained in the Top 5 last night as well. This confirms that the five contestants who initially led the rankings are still holding strong. As expected, Olly also made it into the Top 5, joining Francesco Gabbani, Irama, and Coma_Cose. Notably, Olly was the only artist last night to receive a standing ovation, a distinction previously achieved only by Elisa and Simone Cristicchi.

Sanremo 2025 continues tonight with the Cover Night, promising spectacular collaborations and breathtaking performances of beloved songs. While tonight’s scores will not affect the final results, an award will be given for the best cover performance.
