The unacceptable move by Bambie Thug to call Hezbollah “Resistance”

Less than a day after an operation attributed to Israel in Lebanon, Bambie Thug, Ireland’s representative at Eurovision 2024, posted a hate-filled message on Instagram, portraying the terrorist organization Hezbollah as a resistance group. In them post, Israel is depicted as the evil occupier, while the Hezbollah terrorists are seen as victims of resistance.

The post claims that Israel conducted a cyberattack that resulted in injuries to Hezbollah members, without mentioning that Israel has not claimed responsibility for the operation. These assertions ignore the fact that Hezbollah has also targeted civilians in various countries, including the U.S. and Europe, resulting in numerous casualties.

Notably, them post does not mention that Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, is responsible for the deaths of innocent people and that its attacks have forced thousands to evacuate their homes.

UN Invites Eden Golan to Perform ‘October Rain’ One Year After Hamas Terror Attack

Former Israeli Eurovision representative Eden Golan is set to perform the song “October Rain” in New York, as an invited guest of the United Nations. This performance will take place on October 7, marking one year since the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel. The song was initially intended to be Israel’s entry for Eurovision 2024 but was rejected by the EBU. Eden Golan and her team eventually modified the lyrics and changed the title to “Hurricane” to gain acceptance from the organizers and participate in the competition.

Golan, who placed fifth overall in Eurovision 2024 but secured second place in the televote with 323 points, will arrive at the UN with an Israeli delegation led by Foreign Minister Israel Katz.

The memorial event will reportedly include families of hostages still held by Hamas, as well as families of those who were killed on that dark Saturday a year ago. Attendees are expected to include US Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, as well as ambassadors from other countries. Prominent figures from the Jewish community in the United States are also expected to participate.

The October 7 anniversary will also be observed at Israeli embassies worldwide. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize memorial events to mark the anniversary of the massacre at embassies around the globe.

Golan first performed “October Rain” in May at Hostage Square in Tel Aviv, just six days after securing fifth place in Eurovision, during a large rally calling for the government to agree to a hostage deal.

“I wanted to sing ‘October Rain’ tonight. This is my prayer for everyone to come back home. I will not stop making our voice heard in Israel and worldwide until everyone returns home,” she stated.

Netta predicts the host city of Eurovision Song Contest 2025!

With only a few hours left until the announcement of the host city for Eurovision 2025, there is a tradition that has been built up over the last few years, and we couldn’t miss out.

We’re talking about Eurovision 2018 winner, Netta. Fans of the contest are now relying on her, to know which city won’t host the Contest, having predicted it wrong every time.

It is now a tradition to wait for Netta’s decision on the respective host city. Netta’s previous (wrong) predictions were:

  • For 2019 she predicted Jerusalem, in the end the host city was Tel Aviv
  • For 2021 she predicted Amsterdam, in the end the host city was Rotterdam
  • For 2022 she predicted Rome, in the end the host city was Turin
  • For 2023 she predicted Manchester, in the end the host city was Liverpool
  • For 2024 she predicted Stockholm, in the end the host city was Malmö

This year, a day before the official announcement, Netta posted a video announcing her prediction:

@netta This time I’m getting it right #eurovision ♬ original sound – Netta Barzilai

The two candidate cities are Geneva and Basel. With Netta choosing Geneva, it’s only natural that the Contest will take place in Basel. There are only a few hours left until the announcement, and let’s see if Netta guesses wrong for the sixth time!

Sertab Erener’s reaction to Israel’s participation in Eurovision 2024

Videos with reactions, as well as statements by Sertab Erener in this year’s participation of Israel – Hurricane with Eden Golan, have been circulating in the last few hours on the internet. The only winner of the competition for Turkey, condemned the participation of Israel, and with her grimaces, when Eden Golan performed her song on the stage of the contest, she showed her emotions.

The first excerpt is from the second semi-final, in which Israel also participated and in which Sertab Erener appeared as a guest, along with Elena Paparizou and Charlotte Perelli. Sertab Erener while preparing for her own performance in the dressing room, listens to Eden Golan perform Hurricane and her expressions are indicative of her feelings.

The second video is from the final. Sertab is watching the contest and at the time of the Israeli participation, she says to the camera that she is completely opposed to the presence of Israel in Eurovision 2025.

The above does not make any impression, since the Turkish government, but also to an overwhelming extent the Turkish society, is in favor even of the terrorist organization Hamas, many of its members, have found safe haven in Turkey. Israel in the previous decades was one of the closest allies with Turkey. However, in recent years and especially since Tayyip Erdoğan has taken over the government of the country, the two countries have drifted far apart, with Israel now having allied relations with Greece and Turkey considering itself the protector of Gaza, but and the terrorists operating there.
