Fan favorite Stefan is in fourth place, while songs by Eurostars Anna Sahlene, Elina Nechayeva, Stig Rästa and Ott Lepland do not seem to be so popular. Especially, 1999 Estonian representative, Evelin Samuel is just in second to last place.

Will Maian be able to win the televoting of the Eesti Laul final?

Exclusive: Dream Team arrives in Moscow for the final preparations before Eurovision 2022

Dimitris Kontopoulos is in Moscow today, together with Elias Kokotos. There they will of course meet Philipp Kirkorov, while they will spend a lot of time in the studio, completing or preparing the projects that they will present at Eurovision 2022.

Russia

It is no secret, Philipp Kirkorov has said on various occasions, that the Dream Team will represent Russia in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, except for a shocking surprise. So, at a time when Russian public television is still silent about its intentions in relation to the contest, this trip could not be unrelated to the country’s representation in Turin.

Various names are already rumored, with Klava Koka and Alexander Panayotov at the top of the discussion and scripts. Eurovisionfun is able to know that Dream Team has submitted more than one song to Russia 1 channel and is now in the waiting phase of decisions.

In Russia, which is Christmas today, they like last minute announcements. We remind you that last year it was literally announced that a national final will be held in the last minute, without the participation of the Little Big, something that you first read through Eurovisionfun.

So what is expected is the final recording of these songs submitted by Dream Team on Russia 1 channel, so that everything is ready to move on, as soon as the official announcement is made.

Armenia

Also not a secret is Philipp Kirkorov’s support for Saro Gevorgyan, winner of the last New Wave Festival. Saro, who is at the peak of his career, is considered one of the favorites to represent Armenia at Eurovision 2022.

Armenian public television, after its recent victory in Junior Eurovision, has not yet announced that it will choose its representative in the competition, although most information states that it will make an internal selection, according to the standards followed by ERT.

According to the information on our website, Saro is expected to meet in Moscow with Philipp Kirkorov, Dimitris Kontopoulos and Elias Kokotos, in order to work on the song with which the young artist will claim the representation of Armenia in Turin.

Greece

Finally, it is now a habit for Dimitris Kontopoulos to do the final mixing of the Eurovision songs in which he participates in any way, in one of the best recording studios in Moscow, VI Sound Studios, always with the assistance of Andrey Konoplev, a top sound engineer in Russia.

Given the fact that Amanda will soon be coming to Greece for the shooting of the video clip of the Greek participation and that it should have been completed, you understand that the possibility, the final mix of the Greek entry to take place at VI Sound Studios, is something more than likely.

With a lot of work ahead of them, in view of Eurovision 2022, the Dream Team is preparing for another Eurovision Song Contest.

Poland: Krystian Ochman submitted a song for Eurovision 2022

Speaking to Polish media Krystian Ochman has confirmed he has submitted a song to represent Poland at Eurovision 2022.

Dziennik Eurowizyjny reports that Krystian Ochman has confirmed he has submitted a song into the Polish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Krystian rose to fame in Poland after winning the 11th series of The Voice in 2020 and has since gone on to have commercial success.

His performance in the Finals of “The Voice of Poland”:

The singer has shown some hesitation around whether he would fit at Eurovision although he took the chance and submited a song to TVP for the Polish Eurovision selection.

TVP is internally selecting the Polish representative for Turin, having held an open song submission. The winning act is being picked by a jury in a two-stage internal selection. A jury made up of 5 people will first pick three acts they wish to move to the 2nd stage. Each jury member also has the right to add an act to the 2nd stage that did not send in an application to TVP. 3-15 acts will make the 2nd stage where their songs will be judged on a scale of 1 to 10. The winner will be the song that receives the most points. The Polish representative will be announced by January 15.

In 2021 Rafał Brzozowski represented Poland at the contest this year with his song The Ride. He failed to qualify to the final, finishing 14th in the second semi-final with 35 points.

Norway: A Eurostar among the rumoured MGP 2022 participants!

The participants of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 will be announced next week but escNorge.no has already revealed some names that according to them will be among the competitors.

It seems that VILDE, Kim Wigaard, Northkid, Farida, Maria Mohn, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Oda Gondrosen, Mari Bølla and Elsie Bay might be on the list of the participants of the Norwegian national final.

Also, former Melodi Grand Prix participants Anna-Lisa Kumoji (MGP 2019) and Alexandra Joner (MGP 2015) are likely to return.

However, what is perhaps the most interesting revelation is that a former MGP winner is probably in the running, aiming to represent Norway once more, or for the first time, in case the former winner turns out to be Ulrikke.

The participation of a former MGP winner was also hinted by the Twitter account of Eurovision Norway :

NRK will reveal the 22 competing artists on Monday, January 10th 2022 and all the songs will be released later on the same day.

Spain: How are the songs of Benidorm Fest doing on Spotify?

Two weeks after the release of the 14 competing song in Spain’s national selection, some front runners have already emerged. According to Spotify Streams, this is their current placing:

Ay Mama by Rigoberta Bandini, with its feminist message, seems to have won over fans in Spain. The European fan favorites, Tanxugueiras, are at the second place in this listing, with a big differene in streams, and at the third place comes Rayden. The veterans Azucar Moreno are only at the ninth place and most of their streams come from european listeners.

Why do we look on streams though? Well streams correctly predicted the winner of the Czech televoting in the Czech national selection! Will the same happen this time around with Spain?

Benidorm Fest: How will it work?

Benidorm Fest will take place somewhere within January (the exact date is yet to be released) and it will consist of two semi finals, each including seven performances, four of which will eventually advance to the Grand Final!

The winner will be chosen by a 50% public vote and a 50% jury vote. Two sets of juries will vote, both consisting of music professionals. However, one jury team will be Spanish (30& of the jury voting) and the other one will be of international descent (20% of the jury voting). On the contrary, as far as the public vote in concerned, 25% of it will come from televoting and 25% will come from a sample of spanish population, chosen by demographics and statistics, a criterfia used in both Sanremo and Melodifestivalen.

RTVE has chosen this process wanting to ensure that the final result will showcase in the best way the likings of the Spanish majority.
