Albania: No changes for “Zjerm” on the Eurovision 2025 stage!

Shkodra Elektronike with “Zjerm” were the winners of Festivali i Këngës 63 and will automatically fly the Albanian flag at the 69th Eurovsion Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland. As we reported to you in previous articles, the band would keep the song in Albanian and was willing to add one more person to their group.

Finally, Shkodra Elektronike through Miqtë e Pasdites, RTSH’s talk show, revealed that they will not make any changes regarding their song and “Zjerm” will be the same on the Eurovsion stage as it was at Festivali i Këngës.

The preparation for Eurovision 2025

Shkodra Elektronike continue to rehearse intensively for the stage performance, as well as for the official videoclip. Combining the musical tradition of Albania with international musical sounds, they intend to take the stage of Europe’s biggest music competition and make their country proud. They will participate in the second half of the First Semi-Final, which will take place on Tuesday 13 May.

Albania: Shkodra Elektronike consider adding another singer to “Zjerm”!

Shkodra Elektronike, the unique musical group set to represent Albania in Eurovision 2025, made a significant revelation regarding their song Zjerm. The track, which secured their victory at FiK 63, will remain entirely in Albanian as previously announced. However, a major new development has emerged, as the group has approached a male singer to join them in performing the song!

The invitation to the singer and next steps

As revealed in a recent interview, available here, if the singer accepts the offer, Zjerm will undergo some minor adjustments to incorporate his vocal contribution. Otherwise, the song will remain in its original form as it was performed during the FiK 63 final.

Shkodra Elektronike has not disclosed the singer’s identity, but speculation is already swirling, with fans eagerly awaiting further updates on this potential collaboration.

Zjerm stood out in Albania’s national final, winning over both the jury and the audience with its fusion of traditional elements and contemporary electronic production. Albania: Participants for Festivali i Këngës 63 to be revealed on Monday

The announcement date for the participants of Festivali i Këngës 63 has been moved up to Monday, October 7.

The artists competing in the 63rd edition of Festivali i Këngës will be unveiled this coming Monday. This news comes just a week after the submission window for entries closed, with a jury currently reviewing the songs submitted to RTSH.

Festivali i Këngës has been used as Albania’s selection method for the Eurovision Song Contest since the country’s debut. In May, it was revealed that a “Nostalgia Night” would mark Albania’s 20 years in Eurovision. The festival is also expected to serve as the selection platform for Albania’s Eurovision 2025 representative.

Besa represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with her song “Titan,” finishing 14th out of 15 in the first semi-final. Albania received a total of 15 points, with the highest score being 5 points from Greece.

Albania: Festivali i Këngës 63 Participants to Be Revealed on October 10

The participants of the 63rd edition of Festivali i Këngës are set to be announced in less than a month. The official reveal of the artists taking part in the festival will take place on October 10.

Song submissions for the festival will be accepted from September 27 to 29, with RTSH welcoming entries that meet the contest’s regulations via email at festivali63@rtsh.al.

Festivali i Këngës has traditionally been the selection method for Albania’s entry to the Eurovision Song Contest since the country’s debut. This year, the festival will include a “Nostalgia Night” to celebrate 20 years of Albania’s participation in Eurovision.

While it is expected that the festival will again be used to choose Albania’s representative for Eurovision 2025, RTSH has not yet officially confirmed the selection process for the upcoming contest.

At the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Albania was represented by Besa with the song “Titan,” finishing 14th out of 15 in the first semi-final. Albania scored a total of 15 points, with the highest score (5 points) coming from Greece.
