Georgia: Iru’s “Echo” is now the most streamed Georgian entry in Spotify!

Georgia’s representative at Eurovision 2023, Iru Khechanovi, broke a new record with her song “Echo”, as it is now the Georgian entry that has the most streams on Spotify.

As of now, counting only the official versions of the Georgian songs, namely those performed on the Eurovision stage, Iru Khechanovi broke the record for the most streams on Spotify, amassing 2,762,346 streams to date.

Iru broke the record previously held by Nina Sublatti, as the Eurovision version of “Warrior” (Georgia 2015), has so far 2,590,270 streams, second only to “Echo”.

Below is the ranking of Georgian entries available on Spotify and their respective streams:

Iru Khechanovi represented Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, which took place in Liverpool, with the song “Echo”, but despite the high expectations of the fans, she did not make it to the Grand Final, thus continuing the country’s negative record, for the sixth year:

Georgia: Iru filmed her postcard for Eurovision 2023!

Iru, the representative of Georgia in Eurovision 2023, finished filming her postcrard for Eurovision 2023 that will be displayed before her performance in the 2nd Semifinal on May 11.

Filming took place in various places around Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, where we will see Iru in her athletic outfit working out and jogging during a cold morning.

Georgia: The Voice of Georgia Grand Final tonight!

Georgia is one step closer to choosing its representative for Eurovision 2023, as the Voice of Georgia Grand Final will take place tonight. The Caucasian country will choose the artist to represent it in Liverpool through the popular talent show, which ends tonight.

Eight artists are left in The Voice of Georgia, with the grand winner being the one who will be anointed to represent Georgia at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest.

Participants

Each of the four judges is left with two artists in the talent show:

Georgia: The Voice of Georgia Semi Final tonight!

Georgia is one step closer to choosing its representative for Eurovision 2023, as the Voice of Georgia semi-final will take place tonight. The Caucasian country will choose the artist to represent it in Liverpool through the popular talent show, which is close to ending.

Sixteen artists are left in The Voice of Georgia, with the grand winner being the one who will be anointed to represent Georgia at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight they claim their presence in the grand final of the Georgian talent show.

The grand final of The Voice of Georgia will take place next Thursday, February 2, with the winner representing Georgia in Liverpool. Nevertheless, the song that Georgia will compete with in our favorite contest will be known later.

Georgia: Eurovision 2023 representative will be chosen through The Voice!

After two consecutive years of internal selections, Georgia decides to chose their next representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2023, by organizing a talent show.

For the  first time since 2020, Georgia decides to once again pick their representative through a TV show. The last Georgian representative to be chosen with this method was Tornike Kipiani from the Georgian Idol 2019, who represented the country in 2021, after the cancellation of the 2020 contest. This time, the selection will be held through The Voice of Georgia, which will return to the first channel of the Georgian television.

Applications for the contest started earlier today and will be open until September 20 and can be submitted to the official website of the Georgian channel

The winner of this year’s The Voice of Georgia, apart from the contest’s prize, wins the coveted ticket of Georgia’s representation to Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

Circus Mircus represented Georgia this year with the song “Lock Me In” and ended up last (18th) in the second semi-final with 22 points.
