EXCLUSIVE: Mads Enggaard will be the director of TV coverage for the Greek entry!

The Eurovision team of ERT, the Greek public broadcaster, is full of pleasant surprises this year. According to the exclusive and valid information of Eurovisionfun, the talented and experienced director, named Mads Enggaard, with years of experience both in Eurovision and other big projects, is going to be the director of the TV coverage for the Greek entry in Eurovision 2024!

Another professional in his job, is added to the Greek Eurovision team for 2024. The Danish director, Mads Enggaard will be the director of the TV broadcast for ERT. That means he will be in charge of the footage, we’ll see on our screens.

Mads Enggaard has great experience in the contest, having previously directed a number of entries, with his greatest achievement being Denmark’s “Only Teardrops”, which won Eurovision 2013. So now, alongside the artistic director Fokas Evangelinos, the choregrapher Mecnun Giasar (Majnoon) and NMR who are in charge of the art direction, Mads Enggaard is added to the team, taking over the TV footage of the live broadcast.

We remind you that according to what Marina Satti revealed, the whole staging of the Greek entry, is based on an idea of Fokas Evangelinos. This whole conversation in the last days, along the positive reviews and streams on digital platforms, have helped “Zari” climb higher and higher in the betting odds, reaching the seventh place as of now.

It seems obvious, that the team of Dora Chiraki, who is in charge of the Eurovision project for ERT this year, wants to remove last year’s incidents from our memory, that tarnished our image in the contest.

Italy: These are the lyrics of the three-minutes version of “La Noia”!

As it is already known, it is necessary for all the songs, of all the countries that participate in Eurovision Song Contest, not to last more than three (3) minutes in total. Thus, it is expected that every single song that lasts more than three minutes in advance, will go through some changes in the future regarding the overall duration.

Every year in the Contest there are multiple songs that have to undergo some processing in reducing or changing some of the lyrics in order to last exactly three minutes. This is what happens with Italy this year, while it was already known that Angelina Mango along with her team will change some of the lyrics of “La Noia“. Thus, the very final version of “La Noia” is the following:

As it is already posted on the official account of ESC Discord on Twitter/X, the only alteration is happening during the second chorus, where the lyric of “È la cumbia de la noia” used to be repeated four times, now it is repeated only twice, making the song last exactly three minutes.

Have a watch to Mango’s performance of “La Noia” during the Second Night of the Festival di Sanremo 2024 and the reaction video of the Eurovisionfun’s team on Youtube:

Azerbaijan: New details regarding the song and a message for Armenia!

Almost every official entry of every country for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has been announced, except this that comes from Azerbaijan, which is the last country that is set to release its entry on March the 15th, marking the very last country to do so.

What has been already known for the Land of Fire is that the famous singer Fahree will represent the country along with the already known artist İlkin Dövlətov, who has also participated at the Azeri version of “The Voice” franchise, marking the second male duet in a row that will represent Azerbaijan in the Contest.

However, just a few minutes ago, ESC Azerbaijan along with 12Xal, the biggest Eurovision Blog of the country, announced that the song will include both pop and traditional elements, surving both artists’ musical styles, since Fahree is considered as a mainly pop artist while Dövlətov is known for incorporating more traditional and folk elements in his music. Moreover Fahree stated:

We have already started preparations, our stage choreography will be really different and spectacular. Since the stage structure is very big and difficult, I will start acting lessons.

Furthermore, a really interesting message was conveyed by “The Azeri Times” regarding Armenia’s entry in Eurovision, “Jako” by Ladaniva. More specifically, the following text was posted on the official Twitter/X account of “The Azeri Times” reading:

Lovely music accompanied by a beautiful theme. The day we exchange 12 points between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be a beautiful symbol of true peace. Here’s to hoping for that day!

Thus, this could be a precious effort towards peace between those two countries, which may begin from Eurovision Song Contest and mark an ending to the undesirable wounds of the past. We shall see.

Until March the 15th, take a look at the previous entry from Azerbaijan in Eurovision 2023:

For those who are not aware, one of Azerbaijan’s numerous classical and traditional musical compositions is Mugham.

In fact, Ilkin Dovletov was a participant of this year’s internal selection for Azerbaijan. Along with Mila Miles and Etibar Asaldi, they were one of the six shortlisted acts for Eurovision 2024.

Who is Ilkin Dovletov?

Ilkin Dovletov was a finalist in the “Voice of Azerbaijan, Native Songs” competition and rose to fame in Azerbaijan as a result of his performances.
