Australia: Electric Fields want “Australia Decides” to return!

The revival of the “Australia Decides” by SBS has the support of the Electric Fields who want this platform to be used for the selection of the future representatives of Australia to the Eurovision Song Contest!

Rolling Stone Australia reported that the duo praised the competition in front of the media after the end of the first semi-final on Tuesday 7th of May. They had also participated in the inaugular “Australia Decides” of 2019 finishing 2nd after Kate Miller-Heidke.

SBS has not organized Australia Decides since 2022, instead they used the internal selection of former stars from the show to represent Australia at Eurovision, including Voyager last year and Electric Fields this year.

Keyboardist Michael Ross bekieves that Australia Decides is “very cool” and “like a mini Eurovision”.

“I don’t know why it went away, but that was a wonderful experience and it offered an opportunity for a lot of up and coming artists to get a platform,”

Fielding added that Australia Decides has helped Electric Fields build many relationships with fellow artists and industry figures. Unfortunately, this year’s representatives of Australia failed to bring the biggest country of Oceania to the grand final of Eurovision 2024!

Kosovo: RTK will appy for Eurovision participation soon!

The national broadcaster of Kosovo, RTK, will apply for bringing the country for the first time on the. stage of the Eurovision Song Contest!

This Balkan country, who gained their indepedence in 2008 and has yet to be recognized by all the countries of the world community, has never taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest. All the same, the broadcaster is eager to take part, even organizing the RTK Song Festival this year, in order to promote the Kosovar music industry. This show has the features of a national final.

In a press release, RTK confirmed that the RTK Song Festival will return for a second edition in 2025. In addition, the broadcaster plans to “submit soon its application to the EBU” to compete in Eurovision 2025.

RTK also says it is optimistic that the winner of the next RTK Song Festival will be Kosovo’s first representative in the Eurovision Song Contest.

“As in the first edition, the Board will be a strong supporter and will play a proactive role in the entire work process. RTK will soon submit its application to the EBU for the winning song to represent Kosovo at Eurovision. We are optimistic that the winning song of the second festival in a row will represent Kosovo in this international competition.”

Belgium: VRT interrupts Semi Final broadcast with call for ceasefire in Israel!

Trade union VRT briefly interrupts broadcast semifinal Eurovision with call for ceasefire in Israel. The VRT union also supports journalists in the war zone:

“Moreover, the state of Israel is destroying the freedom of the press. That’s why we’re interrupting the image for a while.” Finally, the union calls for a ceasefire and “stop genocide”.

The socialist trade union ACOD-VRT defends the action.

“We have been watching the events in the Middle East with horror for months now. We are convinced that the State of Israel is committing a genocide and that is why it is outrageous that there is an Israeli entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Doing nothing, just watching, is no longer an option.”

ACOD-VRT points the finger at the umbrella of public broadcasters that organizes the Eurovision Song Contest.

“Unfortunately, the EBU has made the Israeli entry possible and therefore we have decided to interrupt the broadcast. We hope to send a signal to the Israeli government to stop the fighting and killings, allow international observers and the press to enter and sit down for a negotiated solution.”

VRT management informed

 VRT spokesperson Yasmine Van der Borght told the editors of hln.be:

“It is indeed a trade union action. We were informed it was going to happen. Trade unions have the right to take action and do not need permission to do so. I can only say that we have taken note of the action.”

Before the start of the broadcast, there was a small-scale protest at the premises of the VRT and the French-language broadcaster RTBF. About 70 activists denounced the broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest, because Israel is allowed to participate.

In the center of the Swedish city of Malmö, where the Eurovision Song Contest takes place, protests are still taking place against Israel‘s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, Swedish media report. So far, nine people have been arrested. Starting at 4 p.m., more than 10,000 pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched through Malmö. According to the police, this was largely uneventful.

N-VA MP Michael Freilich responds:

“We live in a free country and so everyone is free to protest. The fact that the unions disrupt a TV broadcast for millions of viewers is their choice. Anyone who claims to want to tackle injustice, but does not say a word about the terrorist acts of Hamas and the more than 100 hostages, undermines their own credibility. That’s a missed opportunity.”

Eurovision 2024: SVT will reportedly not censor sound from the audience in the arena tonight!

Eden Golan faced boos from the audience during a rehearsal, as you have read in one of our previous articles, the Israeli broadcaster Kan filed a formal complaint with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) ahead of tonight’s broadcast.

During rehearsals, where the arena audience was limited, there was both imposed applause and a sound carpet added to the broadcast in the press center. This sound carpet created the illusion of a large audience in the arena, even though it wasn’t the case.

In previous years, Russian artists in the Eurovision contest experienced loud protests and boos during their performances. In 2015, the Austrian TV channel that produced Eurovision in Vienna chose to censor the boos by adding fake shouts during the broadcast.

Aftonbladet‘s Tobbe Ek reached out to SVT’s executive producer, Ebba Adielsson, with a detailed question and she clarified the situation:

“As with any major TV production with an audience, we work with broadcast audio to level the playing field for the TV audience. It is only to get as balanced a soundscape as possible for the viewers, we do not censor sound from the audience in the arena. It’s the same principle for all competing entries, including opening and intermediate acts.“

Eurovision 2024: Family Show of the Second Semifinal- Live Commentary (Updated Live)

The family show of the Second Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has just begun. The family show is the afternoon show before the live broadcast that starts at 21:00 CET, where the artists perform once again their entries. The Family Show is more financially convenient, identical to the live one for families and takes place earlier on the same day of the Semifinal. EurovisionFun will be watching all the shows live both at the on-site press centre in Malmö and at the online press centre and will be commenting on the full performances of the 16 participating countries and France, Spain, and Italy. 

This year we will watch the automatic qualifiers perform their entire songs as part of the Semifinal.

The Show

A video shows us the presenters in the dressing rooms and then they start singing Tattoo, with slightly changed lyrics, lying on tanning beds. They then come on stage in a different outfit from the First Semi-Final and welcome us to the Second Semi-Final. We see the board with the 16 competing countries and the phone numbers.

The competition part

Malta

The first to take the stage today is Malta! Sarah is the best to open the Semi Final! An amazing show and perfect vocals! Malta has many possibilities to be the suprising qualifier!

Albania

Next is Albania. Besa is on the stage! A totally elegant performance but with a weak song! No possibilities for qualifying!

Greece

MARINA is here! The best performance for Greece so far! Marina was on fire with the best vocals! A sure qualification for Greece.

Switzerland

Nemo keeps the new outfit from yesterday’s rehearsal. They climb up their platform in the beginning of the song. During the rap part they get up and down the platform. Minimal lighting and visuals. Vocally they are really good despite the song being very demanding.

Czechia

The staging is full of red colours, and Aiko alongside with her five dancers represent the 5 stages of grief in a breakup. Lots of pyro during the whole performance and before the bridge, we see on the screen behind her a video of couple fighting before we get to the last part of the song. Vocally she was really good.

 

BREAK

France (not competing country)

A very chic performance with excellent vocals. He starts laying down on the floor as the camera approaches him. The lights are light blue and after the bridge they turn white with lots of smoke on stage. Slimane is having his signature vocal moment far away from the microphone.

Austria

A performance full of energy that takes us back somehow to the sounds of the 90’s.  Intense rave photorhythms throughout the song for Kaleen. Kaleen tries to combine intense dancing and vocals.

Denmark

Saba starts on a podium and scatters shiny sand. The light focuses on her eye and, as the camera pans out, we see her white outfit. The fog on the floor can also be seen in the chorus. In the second chorus, it looks like that the sand is being scattered from her hands and a figure identical to the singer appears on the LED screen. On the bridge, the leds go dark, the spotlight marks her heart and it beats with her rhythm.

Armenia

There is a whistle in the beginning of the performance. Afterwards she approaches a staircase-like structure which is placed in the middle of the stage and where the orchestra is standing. During the song she is going up and down.

BREAK

Latvia

Dons starts behind the round structure with the blue armor. Very stable vocally as if you were listening to the audio, but the appearance is equally static. There are LEDs on the floor as if he is walking on a ladder, while a tree forms behind. Purple lights. Nothing more, nothing less.

Spain (not competing country)

We start with the familiar staging from Benidorm but on a larger scale.  The dancers take off their clothes just like in the national final. We also have fireworks in the second chorus. In the final chorus, everyone climbs onto the sofa structure and there is a shot from above and at the end the singer climbs to the top. Big applause for Spain.

San Marino

It’s the second consecutive entry in the Spanish language in this semi-final. The lead singer appeared without make-up. We start with a close-up of the singer, led in pink and black and paintings like a forest with trees and wolves. On the bridge the dancers have a skeleton outfit that glows pink.

Georgia

Nutsa in her gold-orange outfit raises the temperature tremendously in the Malmö Arena. She starts on a pedestal while a circle forms behind her. Four dancers make their appearance with a lot of smoke. In the LEDs we see her face, but also a solar eclipse. Many fires with duration and an impressive dance in the dance break. On the bridge she jumps onto the dancers and they lift her into the air. In the finale, she ascends the podium again and the dancers kneel before her. Georgia is ready to break the elimination streak that began in 2017. 

Belgium

MustIi is dressed in white and walks into a circle of microphones. where dry ice is ejected. On the bridge he comes to the front of the stage and opens his garment to reveal his chest that is covered in gold dust. Vocally he is doing really good.

Estonia

There are a lot of similiarities between the performance on the Eurovision stage and the stage of the Estonian national final. This entry is full of dance and energy something that is conveyed to the audience. Will they manage to bring the Baltic State back to the final?

Italy (not competing country)

Undoubtedly one of the most favourite entries of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. The LEDs are full of trees tha creat a forest in the shades of gold and red. The Italian representative has all the potentials to bring Italy into the top five again, is vocally flawless and receives a big applause. 

Israel

Eden is surrounded by her four dancers on a circular structure in the middle of the stage. There is a lot of dry ice and on the bridge of the song the lighting changes to gold and on the leds we see a sun that gradually aligns with the circle. Vocally was once again great. There were again mixed reactions from the crowd, both applause and disapproval.

Norway

Norway returns to their native language after 2006 with Gåte and their entry “Ulveham”. The staging is almost identical to the one of the Melodi Grand Prix. Vocally was really good, mysterious atmosphere and nice shot changes. The leds transport us to Norwegian landscapes, with water and scenes from nature, which fit the message of the Norwegian participation perfectly. Big applause in the press centre.

The Netherlands

Now it’s time for the one of the big favourites not only for the first place in this smei-final, but in the the contest overall. Joost is on stage with two dancers and his friends, one of whom is dressed as a blue bird. On the LEDs there are images like a 2000s 3D video game and photos of food and sights from places accross the European Continent. Big applause here from the audience.

Interval Acts

The biggest sing-along in the world! People from across Europe are on the screen as Helena Paparizou takes the stage to sing her iconic “My Number One”. Petra Mede is in the crowd singing alongside with the audience. Next is Charlotte Perelli who is singing “Take Me To Your Heaven”, followed by Sertab Erener and “Everyway That I Can”.

The second and last recap of the songs.

Now we are seeing an ABBA tribute, considering this year marks 50 years since their victory.

Petra is doing an act, where she is singing about Sweden and Eurovision. Charlotte Perelli joins her.

The results 

These results are neither valid nor real, but they come about in order to serve the rehearsal’s purposes. 

The green room is behind the stage and the LED wall opens so we can see the contestants behind it. Martin Osterdahl executive producer of Eurovision Song Contest 2024, declares that he is happy to see that we now have a valid result!

Here we have a big change, as the 16 competing acts stand on stage, without their delegations, waiting for the result. The camera shows them one by one, as the presenters announce the qualifiers. After the first 5 qualifiers are announced, Alesha interviews them backstage and then we learn the 5 remaining qualifiers.

Israel: Eden Golan’s appearance at the jury rehearsal of the semi-final was met with disapproval and applause!

The appearance of Eden Golan on behalf of Israel in the jury rehearsal of the second semi-final, which is currently taking place at the Malmö Arena, was marked by disapproval, but also by applause!

Eden Golan performed her entry “Hurricane” for the first time in front of the audience! Some in the stands strongly disapproved of Israel’s participation, chanting Free Palestine. The police present inside the Malmö Arena immediately intervened and restrained these people. But apart from disapproval there was also a lot of applause for Eden and her flawless appearance.

It is worth noting that at noon at the journalists’ rehearsal, despite the fact that there was relatively little applause, there were no disapprovals from any accredited journalist.

In the recap afterwards, there was no shot of Eden Golan in the green room. She probably left for security reasons.

Chile: Zapping is going to broadcast Eurovision 2024!

The Eurovision Song Contest is going to be broadcast in Chile for the second consecutive year.

The Zapping Channel will broadcast live the Eurovision 2024 final in Chile, with Rayen Araya and Ignaco Lira in the role of commentators. The first and second semi-finals will not be broadcast by Zapping.

Zapping is a local streaming platform that offers pay TV channels and the broadcast will be carried by Canal 13. Last year, Canal 13 broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Grand Final live, marking the first time since 1970 that Chile had a live teleivised broadcast of the competition, after a hiatus of 53 years.

  • Unted States of America – Peacock

  • Montenegro – RTCG

Eurovision 2024: Watch the results of the second day of the Press Poll!

As we informed you with our article yesterday, Press Poll 2024 has commenced. Having all the countries completed their two  rehearsals, it is about time for the accrediated people to vote for the countries they believe they will qualify from the two semi-finals and for the country they believe will win the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest!

In the vote for the winner, Croatia is in first place, second is France together with Cyprus, while Switzerland, Ireland and Italy are in fourth place due to a tie! It is worth noting that Cyprus is in first place for fans!

Lithuania: Kaounas and Vilnious interested in hosting Eurovision!

Audrius Giržadas, head of the Lithuanian delegation for the Eurovision Song Contest, discussed what would happen if Lithuania won the contest.

In an interview during LRT Radio’s “Unite Eurovision” program, the LRT producer and head of the Lithuanian delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest talked about what would happen if Lithuania won the Eurovision Song Contest.

Giržadas stated that the first Lithuanian Eurovision entry approached the song contest with two goals: not to come last, but also not to win, because then the country would have to face the costs of hosting the event.

“One of those goals – not to be last – remained. Sometimes I think that yes, winning is scary. Such an event costs a lot – just crazy! What’s more, you never know how much the city municipality will contribute to the budget, how much the country itself.”

According to Giržadas, the Lithuanian representatives and the heads of delegations accompanying them really want to bring victory to their country one day. He also refuted claims by skeptics that Lithuania does not have the right arena to host the Eurovision Song Contest.

“In the same Copenhagen “Eurovision” was held in such a rusty garage – a former shipyard, which was later turned into a warehouse for cinema decorations. The holes were just plugged, black acoustic balloons were placed on the roof and – please! This is a televised event. It can also take place in a cardboard box if it looks good. Because of that, we definitely have a place to do this kind of event and would fit perfectly in one of the available arenas. The bigger headache here would be the budget.”

According to the producer, a more convenient place for such an event is the Žalgiris arena, located in Kaunas.

“Kaunas Arena is more comfortable. Of course, that one entry – the bridge – would be a problem in terms of all safety requirements. However, we could also fit in Vilnius. Especially since there are satellite halls around the reconstructed arena, which can be used, as is often done, to house press centers.”

Finally, Giržadas also talked about his feeling regarding how well Sylvester Belt will do. He said he was afraid to predict how this year’s Lithuanian representative in Malmö would fare. However, he has never been so calm when it comes to qualifying for the final.

“With a few exceptions, we keep getting to the final. And we are not last in the final. Here you know – is the glass half empty or half full? I am very happy that we are doing so well. […] But one day, maybe they will get that winner’s trophy. I really hope.”

Eurovision 2024: Dress Rehearsal of the First Semi-Final – Live Commentary! [UPTATED]

Today is the first day of the Eurovision week! So lets wish happy Eurovision Week to all the eurofans around the world! We can already feel “United by Music” all the way from Malmö Arena in Sweden and it’s just a few days before we finally know the winner of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest!

The anticipation is high for Saturday’s final! Until then, we’re here to bring you all the latest updates and the excitement from the first Dress Rehearsal of the First Semi-Final. EurovisionFun will be watching all the shows live both at the on-site press centre in Malmö and at the online press centre and will be commenting on the full performances of the 15 participating countries, as well as the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden.

The Show

The show opens with the iconic Eleni Foureira, representative of Cyprus in 2018 singing Fuego! She also dances oriental in a different version of Fuego. After Eleni, Eric Saade comes to the stage to sing Popular in a explosive performance. Last but not least, Chanel rocks the stage, the Spanish representative or 2022 sings SloMo in a different performance than that we saw in Turin two years ago. That a way to start this year’s Eurovision Season!

The hosts of the show are Petra Mede which is familiar to eurofans because of her previous interaction with the song contest and the actress Malin Åkerman. The female duo is dressed in pink and orange neon suits that are suitable with the LED background.

Perta welcomes us back in Sweden and she made a joke about her voting Finland last year. They also thank last year’s organizers for hosting a incredible show back in 2023. Malin praises Petra for hosting for a third time the contest and Petra said that she never tried to host with a woman and she’s thrilled for this experience.

The hosts are explaining the voting process in english AND french this year, we’ve missed so much Petra speaking French!! Malmo are we ready? Let the Eurovision Song Contest begin!

The Competing Countries – LIVE COMMENTARY

Cyprus: Silia Kapsis – Liar

The young 17 y/o Silia rocks the stage! She’s accompanied from 4 male dancers. The LED’s are mostly in neon turqoise colours, Silia has improved so much vocally from her previous attempts. She really dance in the whole performance. The dancebreak looks better than the second rehearsal, the camera shots are improved by a lot!! In the last 20 seconds the colours of the LED turns into red. This is a really good opener for the competitive part of the show.

Serbia: Teya Dora – Ramonda

Next in the running order is Teya Dora with her Serbian ballad, the whole performance is with her standing or sitting in a rock. This performance can really move you emotionally but I don’t know if this is enough to pass into the Grand Final.

Lithuania: Silvester Belt – Luktelk

Lithuania is next with Luktelk! His performance is kinda similar to the national final one. I’m really enjoying the camera shots in Lithiania. The LED’s are based in red and blue colours. Silvester really seems to enjoy the performance and that’s really important. A sure qualifirer!

Ireland: Bambie Thug – Doomsday Blue

And now it’s time for the most anticipated performance in this semi-final (at least for me). I got the GOOSEBUMPS in the begining!! Bambie really know how to pull a live performance with their voice and their face expressions. They are accompanied from a shirtless dancer that seems that he is their lover in the performance. The dancer dresses off Bambie and they are lest with a very thin suit. On the bridge for the song, the candles rise upwards, and the lighting turns red. At the end of the song they scream and the performance is finished with a LED phrase “Crown The Witch”. The croud was clapping for a long time.

Break

United Kingdom: Olly Alexander – Dizzy (not competing)

Now the first Big 5 artist hits the stage, Olly sings in a Box that seems to be a shower in the walls, accompanied from 4 male dancers in boxer shorts. The whole performance seems to be so much sexualised but it’s really good. The choreography and the camera shots are perfect. In the last chorus he leaves the box among with his dancers and he’s performing in the front part of the stage. Vocally Olly was really weak.

Ukraine: alyona alyona & Jerry Heil – Teresa & Maria

The folk duo is next to perform. In the first chorus the shots are from above with the LED floor being in grey and blue colours making a hurricane. Aliona comes to the stage for her rap part and she is vocally perfect. After that, we can see Jerry in the LED wall being as mother teresa. At the end of the performance Jerry and alyona are laying on the floor and the LED is full of women dressed in beige. Really moving performance, I loved it and I believe that Ukraine is a contender to win the Eurovision trophy!

Poland: Luna – The Tower

Something very different. We move into space, and the floor resembles a chessboard. Two towers dominate, and Luna is surrounded by two dancers, one black and one white. Then, a red figure appears like the shadow of the singer. At the final point of the song, the two towers come together and change color to red, while we also have fireworks. Seems little bit borring to me.

Croatia: Baby Lasagna – Rim Tim Tagi Dim

The fan and bookers favourite is next on the stage. The eurovision live stream is lagging so I will try to make the best commentary in this performance.We start with smoke and a setup resembling a rock concert. There are fireworks, and the lights are in various colors with alternations Marco shouted before the dancebreak dance with me in the croud. At the last chorus we can see many smoke and many pyro also. In general, the dancers and the choreo is similar to the national final one but more polished. The croud were driving crazy in Croatia’s performance.

Iceland: Hera Björk – Scared Of Heights

The performance of the mother of mothers Hera Björk, started with her standing at the top of some stairs. The LED backdrop is in golden colours and really suits with her iconic dress. Vocally Hera never dissapoints. At the middle of her performance the colours are transformed in red colours. Up until the second chorus, she is alone on stage, and then her backing vocalists appear. Germany: ISAAK – Always On The Run (not competing)

The performance starts in a lounge with a fire in a barrel. In the chorus, the whole living room catches fire, and Isaak stands in the middle. In the end, we see the backing vocalists on stage, while the fires go out. It’s decent as a whole, but I don’t think it has much hope with the audience.

Slovenia: Raiven – Veronika

After Germany, next on stage is Raiven. She is dressed with a transparent bodysuit, at the begining of the performance she is layed on the floor by herself and then in the chorus, she is accompanied from the dancers. To be honest as much I like the song by its own, i don’t like the camera shots and the choreography. At the end of the song, the LED floor is in blue colours like they are floating in the sea.

Finland: Windows95man – No Rules!

The egg makes its appearance again. It opens, and we see Windows95Man in his familiar style. The dancers have a 2000s style, and the shots are framed to give the impression that the singer is naked. In the end, he wears denim shorts with fireworks. By far the worst staging i’ve seen today. This is so disturbing to my eyes and unsighty in general. I can’t really imagine people really enjoying this.

Moldova: Natalia Barbu – In The Middle

In The Middle as a song had so much potential in my opinion but the staging seems a little bit empty. Natalia is serving with her vocals but with her standing for 3 minutes in a row seems a little bit borring unfortunately. The LED until the violin part is with purple colours and a purple tree. The violin part is with the angel wings we knew from the rehearsal clip and then until the end the song is with golden colours (both of the returning contestants are using golden colours and both of them have huge chances not to qualify…).

Sweden: Marcus & Martinus – Unforgetable (not competing)

Finally, something interesting in this semi-final after two entries. The performance is the same with the one from Melodifestivalen but this is way better. It feels like the inside of a club with flashing lights and dancers. A very professional presentation that will surely do well in the Final.

Azerbaijan: Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov – Özünlə apar

Next act on the stage is the male duo from Azerbaijan, the LED wall is with a human unknown gender and the LED floor is with the hands of it, based in purple, grey and white colours. In the middle of the performance two huge hand props were revealed in the stage. Overall, the performance was nothing special, I don’t think that this has chances to qualify.

Australia: Electric Feilds – One Mikali (One Blood)

Even though this song is not my cup of tea, I firmly believe that this performance stands out from the second half of this semi-final. The staging has not something unexpected that leaves you speachless. The camera shots are really good but that’s all. “On the LED screens, we see scenes from the video. Then three dancers-vocalists appear, and in the second chorus, the didgeridoo appears, and the title of the song is written on the wall.

Portugal: Iolanda – Grito

I would like to note that I didn’t liked this song back in the national final but now that I’m seeing this performance it’s so cool and for me this is a sure qualifier. The vocals of Iolanda are on point and the camera frames and shots are perfect. One of the floating cubes is lower the whole performance based on the other three. The performance is based in white colours as we already knew.

Luxembourg: Tali – Fighter

Last country before the competing part of the show ends is Luxembourg, the country made it’s comeback this year with a french/english pop song, which is unusual based on the previous representatives. Tali is really good vocaly but the camera shots are so weak. The performance is based in purple and golden colours as well. Thank god, she changed the braids from the rehearsals. There is fog on the stage and shots towards the audience. In the last chorus, we also have fireworks, and the word ‘Fighter’ appears on the LED screens.

Interval Act

Petra Mede present us in a really special interval act the double Irish winner Johnny Logan! Johnny sings Loreen’s Euphoria with a live orchestra. A beautiful performance!

The Results

The green room is behind the stage and the LED wall opens so we can see the contestants behind it. Martin Osterdahl executive producer of Eurovision Song Contest 2024, declares that he is happy to see that we now have a valid result!

Here we have a big change, as the 15 competing acts stand on stage, without their delegations, waiting for the result. The camera shows them one by one, as the presenters announce the qualifiers. After the first 5 qualifiers are announced, Alesha interviews them backstage and then we learn the 5 remaining qualifiers.

The ten countries that (virtually) qualify to the finals for the purposes of the rehearsal were the following:
