Germany 2024: The participants for Das Deutsche Finale 2024 to be revealed soon!

In about a two weeks’ time we will know the list of contestants for  Das Deutsche Finale 2024.  According to website Schlagerpuls the planned date for this announcement will be on January 19, 2024.  According to news website, the information comes directly from German broadcaster NDR.  However, the date is still subject to change.

693 artists submitted their songs to enter German national final for Eurovision Das Deutsche Finale 2024. After an internal selection process, 32 entries were submitted for evaluation by a 20-person international jury.

Shortly before Christmas NDR made the final shortlist of the participants.  Little is known until this point about the names of the acts that are still in the race.  Nevertheless, some of the wishful candidates have confirmed that their songs were rejected.  For instance, pop singer Claudia stated that the screening “was intense” and that she did not make it.

Marie Rime, Alexandra Hofmann (with Jørgen Olsen), Marina Marx and the boy band Zeitflug are some of the names that have been floated as contestants.  Rime herself helped fueled these rumours on an Instagram posted where she said “it will not take long” until her upcoming single, Naiv will be revealed.
